It seems (to me) from several pictures I've seen recently that the beach walking space is now pretty small, which I consider to be a real bummer and THE reason for visiting Orient Beach, at least for me.

I don't know, to me, the beach, if anything is wider than before, because of the wall...

Well you're there and I'm not

Just seems like there is so little space in front of the lounge chairs.

The chairs were always close to the water there, I think..

I also thought Pedros looked a lot better. They installed a huge wooden roof over the tables last year, and totally painted the place. I think they also expanded and added a couple of extra tables.

Also, maybe it's optimism, but the beach just north of the Perch seems to have regained a little of its width - at least that's the impression the webcam gives.

Fantastic pictures Carol and Eric! Thank you!
Any thoughts on whether the Pirate restaurant on Orient will be the same Pirate run by Glen that was on Orient a few years ago? We used to really enjoy that beach restaurant many times during our visits.

When talking with them, that was our impression. He wanted to open up the Original Pirate again.

Did you check the new L'Orange on Orient? I am told it is in the Green bldg. Looks very quiet.

I think that was the one with all the orange chairs, although I didn't see a name like that.

I think the actual name is Orange Fever, another poster said it just opened. We are arriving in just under two weeks.
Thanks

Yes, I think that's it. We didn't stay except to take some pictures and have a drink.

Chez Leandra reopened on 06/05/2016. Went there today and it's better than ever! That's Leandra standing in the upper left corner of the photo!

Great news about breakfast! We were really missing Andy & Cheryl's breakfasts last November.
