HI, will be flying in to STT in 2 weeks on a Friday at 3:25pm . Having never dealt with St. Thomas (we've always flown into EIS), is there time to make the 4:30pm ferry to Roadtown from Charlotte Amalie? And is the exit from the airport relatively quick. We will have no checked luggage, only carry-on. Thanks.

I would say you have the POTENTIAL to make the ferry - IF your flight is on time. Try to sit near the front of the plane and arrange for Kevin to be waiting for you (or another private taxi)

Give Kevin Campbell a text at 340-643-0025 and he'll get you where you need to be. And do it at least a week ahead.

If you land on time - and with only carryon - you will be fine don't sweat it - just don't dawdle

Or the rear. On STT they exit the plane front and rear.

so there ya go.....from a bunch of for-ever-here's Get off the plane Get to the outside of the terminal Get into the Van going next.. and chill It takes 10 minutes to get to the ferry and then 30 minutes to buy the darn ferry ticket - lol Oh yeah... and on the ferry dock - stay behind the yellow line - seems they created a new job for a fella there. Namely to remind people to stay on the dry side of the yellow line ((sigh))

And if the ferry has a top deck, go upstairs and order a drink off the ferry to the pump room.

Find ourselves in the exact situation now.,was supposed to arrive from Newark at 1:30. Flight has been delayed at least until 11:00 due to weather on the flight path. We do have checked bags. What is our chances for making the 4:30 ferry, tonight? Is that the last ferry.
If we miss, is water taxi our only option? Any service you recommend?
Thx!

Good chance that the later ferries will hold their departure if there is significant flight disruption....
It has been said repeatedly that the 4:30 seldom leaves until after 5 anyway.
I believe there is a later ferry departing Red Hook, although the taxi fare will take your breath away, it is still less than an overnight in STT.
Good luck, keep the faith.

Based on the outstanding advice on this thread and this forum, arranged for Kevin to pick us up. Looks like it will be tight to make to 4:30 ferry, hopefully island time is in our favour this time!
