I just have to post what an amazing airline JetBlue is. I have been traveling for many years to SXM and am always so happy with their customer service. I have called on several occasions with questions and they are always so cheerful and helpful. If you are flying down to SXM and are looking to book a flight with a great airline... use JETBLUE!

I'm glad you have had a good experience with them. Mine have been otherwise..

I have always had good luck with Jet Blue and will continue to fly with them from Boston to St.Maarten....I realize that there are folks that have different likes then myself, so maybe we differ in our opinions, but believe me, if I had a bad experience with them you would hear about it..(P>.. Hope that never happens)

We always enjoyed and appreciated JetBlue SJU to SXM. Then they discontinued that route and left us without a flight in May. I did have an excellent JetBlue rep work out returning AX points to our account, after 2 hours on the phone, but the overall experience has left a negative impression on me. Fortunately we have booked a flight on another airline.

Compared to the other airlines, Jet Blue's customer service is head and shoulders above every other customer service we have had to deal with. My husband travels a lot for work and he said that Jet Blue has always been the best.

Just saw a post saying they are discontinuing service to SXM. I knew they were to SJU but this says SXM ending in June. Even though they are not available in our area I hate to see options disappear.

You can still book through the end of October (as far as their present schedule goes) so I would hope that is not true. It would be a blow to us BOS people.

All I can say is that my personal experience with their customer service has been abysmal.

Just as another data point, I had to call them recently and it went very smoothly. I was complaining about what I felt was a scam that I fell for when checking in online before my flight. They asked me if I wanted "Even More Speed", which I interpreted as being able to board the plane faster (and not getting locked out of overhead space for carry-ons) so I paid the $15 per person. Came to find out that it only gets you TSA Pre, which I already get due to Global Entry.

I called to complain and they cheerfully refunded my $30.

I have to say also that the legroom on the flights is great.

We did have a bad experience on a flight back from SJU a couple of years ago where drunken passengers caused a ruckus and I felt the crew handled it poorly but other than that, our experience has been good.

Well, actually, it does NOT get you TSA pre-check. And yes, it is a scam. That was but one of my recent problems with them.

It's not a scam. It can save plenty of time if lines to security are very long, if the airport itself can't get it right then that's a whole other issue. But I have used it several times and it has been great

And my son just came through MCO and was told to use the "priority boarding" security line because he had even more speed. But it should be spelled out as JB doesn't have their own security clearance like JFK does

In Orlando, they did not HAVE any kind of priority boarding security line when I went through in March. Regardless, in Orlando, all it does, even WHEN they do it, is to get you to the FIRST person who checks IDs. I don't think I've ever waited there for more than a couple of minutes. It helps you in the actual security line not at ALL. Gate agents in Orlando know that it is a scam. They are tired of dealing with it. Whenever you complain to them, they have a pre-programmed speech that says to call 1800JetBlue and get your money back.

Well for 10 or 15 if it gets you to the front of the security line, which it did, I think it's worth it especially if your running late. He was early so it wasn't a big deal, but he was told by the person at the beginning of the security lines to go to "priority line" and he went straight to the person prior to the scan machine - which is how it is supposed to work

That absolutely is NOT what happened when I was there. I asked two DIFFERENT people in security and they said that it only got you to the FIRST person who checks IDs, nothing once you are inside security. I waited in the REGULAR security line, for 35 minutes, along with at least one other person right in front of me, who probably missed her plane. I don't know if anything has changed since the beginning of March, as I made a BIG stink with several people

We've had a few issues with JB, none major but consistent enough to become a negative factor for us, but not so much I'd rather stay home than book them, and I absolutely agree - their CSA or TA (whichever they are called....) go way out of their way to be friendly and helpful any time we've had occasion to use them - which seems to be more often since they instituted the changes in their computer system to accommodate the tiered ticketing options, though it seems of late they've worked out all the bugs, thank heavens.

We were on an early morning flight from JFK a couple of trips ago and the flight attendants kept serving a couple seated in the bulkhead row of the 'even more room' seats. It seemed as though the passengers were possibly known to or friends of the flight crew but regardless, we could hear them as clear as a bell sitting in the last row of the same section and the further we flew, the more they were served and the louder and more obnoxious they became, and yet the flight attendants continued serving them. Towards the end of the flight we heard the flight attendants as they were collecting their bar bill and it was huge. They had to have had at least six or seven drinks apiece, and all this in less than four hours of the flight and already having had a head start. I mean, c'mon - it was evident to everyone sitting in the area they were under the weather when they boarded and half way through the trip they were totally wasted. One of the other passengers seated closer to them had seen them enjoying drinks at one of the T5 bars prior to boarding, yet still, the flight attendants kept serving them. We saw the couple later upon arrival in the baggage area of PJIA and the gentleman was so drunk he fell on his butt in the middle of the area and couldn't get up again unassisted.

I know the flight attendants have the authority to discontinue drink/drunk service if a situation calls for it so I can't figure out why they allow it to continue. And please know, I have no problems with people - myself included - enjoying a drink or two - but when the situation reaches the state we all witnessed on that particular flight, there is always the possibility it could become an explosive problem for all involved and the crew should really do a better job of controlling things.

Respectfully,

pat

I think it was agreed that Orlando does not participate in the "Even more speed" thing and it was a website issue which made it look like it applied to ALL airports.

That was the problem that was identified and ONLY identified after you had already paid and were travelling...and it should be airport specific when collecting the fees...

Our March trip had no complaints unless you count that hubby thought it was an older plane, and thought perhaps since it goes to & from in same day JB is using older and leaving the newer for other jaunts.

This is eerily similar to our situation. The guys in question were drinking from their own supply however. It was clear what was happening but the crew did nothing. When they finally cut them off, they were belligerent and things got out of hand quickly. They basically rushed (drunkenly) the forward galley and a couple of big guys had to force them back into their seats. The crew threatened to land the plane under military escort if things didn't settle down.

When we landed, Boston police came on board and led them off - to the cheers of everyone else on board. The really crazy thing was that after we got off the plane, we saw them arguing with the cops in the terminal. I couldn't understand why they weren't immediately in jail facing federal charges with no questions asked. I was livid and told the cops so (which I don't think they liked).
