For anyone who is going to be in and around North Sound on Monday, May 18, we're going to do an informal pub crawl in dinghies around the sound!
We'll start at Leverick Bay (time is still TBD since I'm sure we'll have people coming in that day so we don't want to start TOO early) - we'll go to the Sandbox (if they're open!) on Prickly Pear, Saba Rock, Bitter End, Fat Virgin, and possibly Smeralda Yacht Club if they don't shoo us away <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />. We'll finish at Leverick Bay.
Get those liver treatments started early. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />
Pirate attire is encouraged but not required.
Water cannons are not frowned upon either...but....a word of warning....keep the water activity to a minimum since we don't want to create any problems with other patrons...let's just say we had a minor "incident" at Saba last year <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />
Anyway - all are welcome - start time will be decided closer to the date! No formalities required here - just show up if you want to come along! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

May can't come soon enough-It's been a long winter in the Boston area! This is our first trip using BVIYC. See you on the docks <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

Been a long winter for Kim (Sandsailsun right above your post) too - she's in New Brunswick - they've been hammered with the weather as well.
Time for us all to get hammered together where it's warm!!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />
You will LOVE BVIYC - are you off the docks on the 15th? You will love the fact that the big Riteway is literally right across the street from the charter base. We still have all the "heavy" stuff (booze <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />) and basics delivered but we go shop ourselves for all of our fresh items.

Loretta - does that cat have A/C? I don't see a generator listed but does she have shoreside A/C? If so, you might want to contact Nick at Leverick Bay and reserve a slip for the 18th so you can plug in -- same price as a mooring for the slip (you have to pay extra for the electric) and it includes ice and water.

Just a note to everyone who's going to take part in this day - there will be a jar on the Jumbies Bar at Leverick Bay for donations to help the BVI Animal Rescue -- it is something very near and dear to us and our hosts at Leverick Bay Marina, the wonderful Nick and Monica. In the past, the Dinghy Poker Run has benefited this cause and since it will not be taking place this year, it would be GREAT if everyone participating in the pub crawl could make a donation! Thanks in advance to all <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

Oh absolutely!!! I think it may be at the bar all the time -- if not, I'll remind Nick (or he may see it here!) - I think these pub crawls will start to catch on - it's a really fun way to get a group of TTOLers together for a fun afternoon!

Fantastic! Hope you guys can make it! We're going to try to head out from Leverick at around 1pm - we're going to be quite a crowd! Final stop will be at Saba for happy hour, which starts at 4 - you can always join us there if you arrive late! There's a ferry!

Don't let that deter you! Do the crawl anyway! I'd be willing to bet you could get a group together down there for another one! We started this last year and had so much fun we decided to gather again at the same time.

We will be on Y-Knot chartering from BVI Yacht Charters too on May 17th... We will be joined by two other cats from BVI yacht charters -- I'm in and will try to convince my crew to head up to the North Sound for pub crawl on Monday - we will likely see you Sunday am-- and briskly head off to the Willy T's for drinks.. Capt J - we are out of BVIYC on Being Nauti - we will be at Cooper on the 16th and then head up to Leverick the morning of the 17th with a stop at the Dogs.
The plan for the 18th is to start at noon with bloody Mary's (or pick your poison) at Jumbie's Bar and then into dinghies - starting at 1pm and going counter clockwise - we'll finish with Saba's happy hour at 4. Join us!! Pirate attire encouraged but not required! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/pirate.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

I've been watching all the talk about the dingy pub crawl and it sounds like a lot of fun. We are not getting to the North Sound until the 22nd and am disappointed we are going to miss it.

Hey Bridget- We will either overnight our first night(Sunday May 17) in the Bight or Cooper and will try to get up early to be in Leverick by noon. We normally pick up a mooring ball there but may grab a slip if so I will contact Nick. Looking forward to it-- Cheers <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" /> Capt J

And just a little reminder to everyone -- the Dinghy Poker Run used to benefit Virgin Gorda animal rescue -- it would be really nice if we all made a donation into the jug at the bar at Jumbies since the pub crawls are pretty much taking its place this year - would still like to see the furry friends get some help - anything you can spare, please! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

We will keep an eye out for Being Nauti if we make it to Cooper Sunday night; we are on Y-Knot a Nautitech Open 40, the other members in our flotilla are on Petit Profilgate, Nakita, and Chablis. And we will definitely pitch in for the animal rescue fund - I'm a sucker for "the furry friends" probably why we have 4 dogs and 3 feral cats at our tiny home right now. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" /> Capt J

Recognize all those names except for Petit Profilgate - is she with BVIYC as well?
Nakita will be a VERY fun boat - we had Tootsie last year - same model - sails GREAT!

Yes all at BVIYC - my dad will be the captain on her (4500 RC Leopard) - she may have just come over or will come over from Spain(currently she is listed in their fleet). Originally, they were on Jacomina but had to switch to a larger boat when his crew grew to 8.

What day do you guys get off the dock? The 17th? We are right in front of you - we sleep aboard the 15th and get off the dock the 16th - sorry, had my dates screwed up! So - we'll see you at Leverick, hopefully, on the 18th. It's an easy sail from Cooper if you leave early enough.

We arrive on the 16th and probably staying at Maria's by the Sea(unfortunately Y-Knot was unavailable for a sleep aboard). Our charter starts Sunday the 17th and normally we head to the Bight our 1st evening for drinks and fun on the Willy T's - always a struggle to make it up the next day. This year we may tone it down and head over to Cooper and let the real partying commence on Monday. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

I think that is a capital idea - save the Bight for last - I think that's what we're doing -- either the Bight or Peter Island.
