This restaurant located at Porto Cupecoy. Simply AMAZING!!! Great service from start to finish and absolutely amazing food!! Shepard duck pie with a morels mushrooms sauce was to die for! But the dessert is something else!! We opted out for a soft egg white merengue with some vanilla and something else sauce - oh my God!!!
Folks, give it a try, you won’t regret it! Just make sure you have a reservation- they are busy!!

We noticed the sign when we drove by there a few times, wondered if it was something new. We will plan to give it a try next time!

Looked on Facebook but didn't see when it opens. Is it just dinner? Or do they serve lunch?

Trivia: French Cocotte is a method of cooking; somewhat like a covered stew pan.

Thanks for the note! I had not heard of it before. I don't know why, but it is pretty difficult to get good French food on the Dutch side. Anyone have a link to a menu?

They opened just recently, I think the owner said like 4 months ago. It is owned by a young French couple , the owner was our waiter yesterday. Their chief is 27 years old and we were told had worked at a pretty famous restaurants before. I tell you- he is definitely talented!! This place was on par with Tropicana!

I ate there in July shortly after they opened. I don't remember now what I had but it was a pleasant experience.

If you are on Facebook, go to Foodporn Group of SXM and look for Vanessa White's post of March 5 (yesterday). The Foodporn group ate there last night, and Vanessa posted numerous pictures of the menu in her post.

Linda--If that is a private group, then we can't view it?

Carol, it is a private group, but I'm sure you'd be welcomed. There's a lot of great information about the island restaurants there.

Georgia--Sorry, no. I am tired of all these different groups, one for every day of the month, all of which are private groups, that you can't even READ. It's BS. There's no reason for it.

We belong to a lot of Private SXM groups on Facebook. We pick up lots of information that we would never find elsewhere. Just because you belong doesn't mean you have to read everything posted but it's there if you have time and want to.

As I said, I'm not going to join every d*mn group on the internet. There's no reason to require registration to read.

Don't you belong to Jeff Bergers private group? Had to register there.

I signed up for that a long time ago, before there were 528 different FB groups. That's the only one I ever signed up for.

Well if there is a group you shouldn't belong to I would say that is the one.

I will not be signing up for any other FB groups.

And back to the original question--surely there is someplace online where this restaurant has their menu??

With due respect, if you aren't going to keep up with the times, you can't really complain about not being in the know.

No, actually I can. A restaurant should have a website. How hard is that?

Thanks. Yes, I saw that, but not much of the menu there. Well maybe by June there will be a menu online somewhere.

What position in the plaza is this restaurant in? Is Altro still open?

I have to agree with Carol, but I am a never facebook-er, lol, has nothing to do with keeping up with the times 🙄

Thanks for posting. Menu looks interesting. Not too pricey. Might have to give it a go in the 6 weeks we'll be on island.

Lots of prices are average to other places but their sole meuniere is $49. At Tropicana it's $38 & she does a splendid job. Also le piment was $49.
