WE MADE IT!
We arrived today, Oct. 29, on the JB 1:30 arrival time direct flight from JFK. The FLIGHT WAS PERFECT - couldn’t find anything to complain about if I wanted to.
But on the other hand, the arrival at PJIA was on time but a total $hit $how!
We were right behind an AA arrival and several others already there including a Delta and Air France so it was busy to put it mildly. We deplaned down a ramp as opposed to stairs and were bussed to the temporary new area.
Being slightly disabled does have its good moments but sadly, not too many. We did immigration and were whisked through to the baggage claim area. What a zoo!!! AA passengers had already filled the carousel area and their bags hadn’t started to come through and then the JB arrivals piled in. And while we were waiting, KLM landed and as we were exiting the airport, one of the Canadian carriers arrived. All this and very little standing room or room for parking wheelchairs. Very little thought or planning went into this for sure.
It took us almost can hour just waiting for our luggage but the good news was, as soon as we got our bags we exited and both Lesley and Shirley Bruce were there waiting for us. For anyone in need of a car rental company you Just can’t beat Kenny’s - they really go the extra mile. And the same thing applies to the company that handles the special needs porters. They should come to both MIA and JFK and show them how it should be done.

Gorgeous this morning after a rainy night again last night. Road into Beachside is flooded like I’ve never seen before.

Pat--glad you arrived, although sorry it was such a mess. I wasn't keeping up, as I thought you weren't going down for another 10 days or so. Enjoy!!

The arrival can be perfect - BUT - to be so you have to be the only large plane arriving AND even better with no checked luggage. This wasn’t the case for us.
