Well, we won't be making it to SXM this winter. My wife decided she is going to retire at the end of May instead of December. I think we'll make the trip to SXM in late August or Sept. I know it is not the best time to go, but we need to get there and check it out and get a feel for the island since we have not been there for over 6 years. I'm kind of bummed, but it is what it is.

That time of year certainly has it's good and bad with the concern of hurricanes at the top of the list. With that being said, we have traveled the last 30 years the last two weeks of August into September and only once had to escape bad weather (Irma)
Lodging is less expensive and no problem with busy restaurants
If you decide on this time of year, we could certainly meet for a drink but no rooting for the chiefs
