The next time you get mad, ask yourself the following question. Will it will matter a year from now? If it won't, breathe in, breathe out and move on. Life is short, remember to have fun along the way.

If that doesn't work, you might try this one ShRichards@gov.vgThis is the one that worked for me last March.

The nrl@gov.vg worked for me in June. Ken is gone and Natoya Clyne now handles the licences. She really responded fast. I was impressed. I emailed the application with scans of the passports and our credit card info. Got the licence via email in 3 days.

Laura, Here is the last email address that I have - BVI Fishing NRL@gov.vg It was from Natoya Clyne. I was sent a form to fill out, you write your CC information at the bottom of the form. They will email you a license and a CC receipt.

FYI, I used the NRL address and it works, however I made a mistake of waiting until the last few days before our trip to send it, they took 3 days to answer the email. I panicked on day 2 and gave Last Stop a few extra dollars to get the license for me, duh <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the update. I had just sent my application to Ken Thomas a few days ago. Now I have re-routed to Natoya.

This process does take a couple of weeks, so don't cut it too close!

Timely really differs, I've gotten a license the next day or I've waiting several weeks. The one time it took several weeks, I was told their credit card machine was down.

In the past I have several times got the permit within hours of emailing everything in. I have been waiting a week and fly out Thursday night, no permit yet, maybe push them a tad tomorrow.

Does anyone know if one can get a fishing license that is valid for more than 30 days?

Thanks, so do I just include a check for $45 with the form or what's the process? I normally have the watersport company handle it for me but I'm in a villa this round and want to stay 'legal'.

Are you only fishing from shore? You don't need a license if you are fishing from shore.

Was going to rent a 21' runabout for a day and troll while I am hopping from place to place. Probably just using a handline (Cuban yo-yo) but still want to make sure I'm legal and all.

Oh, ok. In that case I filled out the form and scanned it, attached it to an email and emailed it to them. You have to put your credit card information at the bottom of the form. You also need to send them a scanned copy of your passport.

I filled out the form and a copy of my passport. created pdf and emailed it. I then called the number the next day and gave them a credit card number. Go my fishing license the same day. Dale

I submitted our fishing license paper work to NRL@gov.vg on December 7 and heard back today, January 2, from Natoya Clyne. I was about to followup since we arrive January 10. Cheers, RickG

I tried to get a fishing license to start around Christmas and run for a month. My application was cutting it close but my first reply from BVI was very recent, weeks after I requested. To their credit, they were very polite and apologetic asking if I still wanted the license. I said yes, please go ahead and start the license the day you process it and let it run for 30 days. I got another email a few days later indicating that they had somehow lost my application and could I resend it. At the time I was out sailing in the SVIs, so no, that's not really possible. Pretty disappointing. Typically their response is fantastic. Lost revenue for them and more money I spent in Culebra instead by extending my time there.
