I'm traveling to Saint Martin and would love to hear opinions on the best Rum Punch on the island!

I'm not really a rum punch kinda gal, but I hear the ones at Rosie's at Mullet Bay Beach are good.

Another vote for Driftwood Boat Bar in Maho. Their rum punch is made with too many rums to list.....at least that's what the menu says.

The BEST of anything is usually that which makes the individual happiest, and right now, here in chilly and oft times snowy CT., I wouldn’t worry about the best but would be happy with any reasonable facsimile if the location was right. And if the location was anywhere in SXM, that would work for me. 😊😊

Respectfully,

pat

. OH MY GOD yes, best answer. I'd leave the pool at La Terasse, cross the street and come back with a pair of those... LOL.

I should seriously consider a yeti mug to fill. LOL

Another vote for the boat bar, aka Driftwood - it's like the old joke, two are too few, three would be too many

Driftwood Boat Bar on Maho has one of the BEST rum punches I have ever had in my life. First of all, it takes a long time for them to make it because there are so many bottles being tilted and poured into your glass. LOL But if you want a tasty, well crafted rum punch that will leave you all warm and fuzzy, then you need to try their beautiful, work of art. And it IS a work of art. 😊

On our first trip to the island in 1996, we went to the Dingy Dock in Oyster Pond on a Sunday afternoon and watched the bartender making a bowl of rum punch. We thought he was done when he took a ladle and tasted it. Apparently it needed more so he poured in another full bottle of 151 rum! And of course we had to try it.

Oh yes you can.. Had a very bad one on a sailboat excursion out of St Thomas while on a cruise. They used a powdered mix that resulted with little lumps in the punch. Not good.

Ive only had them at the Driftwood, every bar at the sonesta maho, sunset beach bar, casino royale, the strip place behind the casino, about six different jewelry stores in Philipsburg about 6 different places on orient,...there is probably a dozen more...no bad ones but I may have a drinking problem..lol

Great question! As a result of this forum, we did a rum punch tasting tour last October. Sampled quite a few along the way and each one was unique. Some were red, some were orange and some were a color in between. The ones at Driftwood were highly rated on our scorecard!

Dany's Beach Bar at Cupecoy definitely has the best rum punch. A full glass, smooth and strong!

Some rum punches taste like cool-aid, and that is not acceptable to me.

However, Danny at Cupecoy has the BEST in my book!

I literally put a hiatus on drinking any IPAs between now and our trip. Then expect to blow a load of $$ at the Driftwood. Plus their pizzas soak up the punch nicely IIRC.

Might even get a Driftwood shirt lOL

That would be something to do. Have a rum punch pub-crawl, get one of van guys for the day and hop til we drop! Yes, we concur that Driftwood has the best, then Rosie's at Mullet!

Over the many years we have been going everyone I know who stops at Danys comes away remaking how muck better they are than other places not to say the other aren’t good but his punches are the best, for newbies he is located at Cupecoy by the round about can’t miss the sign ,during one bitch of a Hurricane the sing travel about 75 miles and was returned. What ever you do you can’t go wrong he always has a Smile say hi for me Dick from Connecticut .
