Hi Chuckval.
I don't know if you are looking for a boat to take out yourself, or a captained charter.
If the former, I don't know of anyone who will let you take a boat out yourself. I wouldn't, if I was in that biz.
If the latter, we have gone out several times with Captain Alan, out of Oyster Pond. He is a great guy, and has good boats. Not huge boats, but large enough to handle what the ocean might throw at you on any day you'd want to go out on any boat. Just google CaptainAlan and you'll find him.
If you are looking for a larger boat, there are lots of folks in that business, but you'll be looking at a couple grand for the day. A little steep, if just the 2 of you. OK, if you've got a crowd. I've always used Private Yacht Charters, but there are folks on this board who have other favourites. Hopefully a few of them will chime in.
Good luck! Any day on the ocean is a great day, in my opinion.

It’s been a while since we’ve done it but there used to be a guy at the Marigot marina near Tropicana who would rent boats privately without requiring you take his captain. He did require a hefty deposit on your credit card but it was fun.
