For those of you who knew my wife Candace I wnated pass along the sad news that she passed at 1.30 Pacific time today in Sonoma. Some of you already knew she was fading but wnated the TTOLers who knew her to also get the news. She was greatly loved and will be hugely missed. We will be toasting her in gthe BVI's in June .One love..
I did not know her but have always appreciated your help, kindness, and guidance on this board, Malcolm
Very sorry to hear my friend, I cant even begin to imagine what you are going through, and if we cross paths in June in BVI would certainly be honored to toast her...
Very sad news, Mal. Nancy and I were at the Elm a couple of nights ago and of course thinking of the two of you. We have lots of great memories with you and "Candaysay". Wishing the best for you, and hope you get back down here soon.
I know my missus has already passed on our condolences but just wanted to add my own. We had so many happy times together at CRC and The Elm but, sadly, could never get Candace aboard Jeannius (even just tied at the dock!!!). Can't believe we will never see her again. Here's a photo of happy times together along with a few other TTOLers, at The Elm, on the night the great Steve Cropper joined the band...
Malcom I am so sorry for your loss...the memories of your love and life together I hope will soften the sorrow. Hope you are able to travel to your beloved CRC and remember the good and wonderful times together.
I feel so badly for you Malcolm. I hadn't expected to hear this as I thought you might be comimg down soon. I enjoyed our many chance meetups and the talks with yourself and Candace at the restaurants and bars on the North shore. Please look after yourself well and I hope to see you perhaps later in the year.
So incredibly sorry for your loss. Can't think of a better way honor her memory than with a visit to the BVI in June. After losing 2 dogs and my mom and dad in the past 2 years and hearing about way too many people gone too soon, I encourage everyone to LIVE life to the fullest. You never know what day will be your last.
Mal, I know you were so very much looking forward to returning to your BVI home. So sorry your partner can’t make it. Fondly remember meeting you at the Elm years ago. We walked in and saw you, and I said to my friends “I know that guy!” Even though I didn’t.
QTR my friends...Quality Time Remaining. Make the most of it!
Roy and I always looked forward to seeing you and Candace. Some of our happiest memories of the BVI were when we stayed at the Chateau. Candace made a lovely Italian dinner. I could smell the sauce cooking for hours.
I'm certain that Roy welcomed her into Heaven today and made her a painkiller.
May all of your good memories bring smiles to you.
Leo and I are so deeply saddened to hear that Candace has passed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We are truly blessed to have shared many wonderful times together especially sharing in our wedding on Apple Bay. Sending our love and hugs and wishing we could be there in June.....we will be there in spirit.
Much love to you Mal,
Mappy & Leo
