boucharda--that is for the individual governments involved, to make that determination, not up to the cruise line, as to who is allowed to enter the country and under what conditions. Do you think that they decided to do this without the agreement of the government in Aruba and Barbados??????? Really?
And you are assuming that the cruise line are not going to require the EHAS form--or something similar--to be completed, which I think is an incorrect assumption.

jphart--I didn't realize it but I guess that there are some cruises resuming out of US ports by around May 1, which is surprising to me. Personally I would have ZERO desire to take those RCCL cruises, 7 days in the Bahamas? Blah....

I might have to entertain doing this is in 2022. I could use one of my Flamingo timeshare weeks and either stay a week before or after the cruise. Fly in and out on their dime.

As of NOW, it's only scheduled to run this June through August. Whether they will continue it after that is anyone's guess.

I think that would be lovely for the island, but a person who makes any predictions about that at this point should live in Vegas..

I did not assume anything regarding the EHAS like form...I just mentioned it....and I found an explanation that was in the link posted previously ...no exposure to anyone on Island thus no need for repeat testing Limited Shore Excursions At the various stops, Celebrity will be offering what they are calling “curated tours.” This is in line with what various lines have been discussing with regards to keeping guests within a protective bubble in order to avoid contaminants being brought back to the ship.
In an interesting twist on this concept, Celebrity will also be offering what they are calling Private Journeys and Small Group Discovery Tours which are described as being “for those guests preferring to explore the destinations with only members of their family or traveling companions.”

OK, not sure whether they are changing course with regard to allowing total freedom getting off the ship if one wants. That is totally different than what the original press said..

Hate to continue this but "total freedom" was my issue regarding testing requirements

These cruises are now open for booking, and it's quite shocking to me, but they will NOT be doing charter air!! Look out, anyone trying to fly in and out of Juliana on Saturdays this summer!!!
