Interesting. The elderly (90s) mother of a friend, who lives in a retirement home in Washington State hasn't been able to get hers yet. Gotta wonder exactly what's going on there. Also, shouldn't topics like this be in People Talk?

I get my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine Wednesday. My wife got her second dose on Jan. 6th. She had no side effects from either dose.

It seems like they are getting handled differently all over!!
Then there are people who are somehow able to get to the front of the line----it's pretty
much like everything else that is going on right now---crazy.
Hopefully they won't add any other large groups of
people to the first group.

The Feds left it up to the states to determine how to distribute the vaccines, but gave them no money to do so. Then the states mostly dumped it on the local governments, and again, gave them no money to do so....

Washington State just opened it up to anybody over the age of 65. Every day something changes. Now Costco, Microsoft and Starbucks is getting into our program.

Thats great. Some places in WA St don't make the follow up appointment for you. They just gave us a 5 day window to try and make an appointment in online. Like what they did for you better.

Yes, that gives me a lot more confidence, to have a pre-made appointment. Others that we have spoken to have said they also received a confirmed 2nd appointment when they got their first shot.

Jaybird, did you have any adverse effects from the second Pfizer dose? We got our first on Tuesday and are scheduled for our second on March 2. Just curious.

Scubaman--my arm is a little sore, but that's it. Eric does not even have a sore arm. We'll see how the second one goes.

That's great. I had a sore arm too and was a little off next day but my wife was OK other than a sore arm too. Hoping the same for second shot come Feb 22nd.

Even the printed material we got regarding the shot from Moderna said that the reaction from the 2nd shot is often much more intense. We'll see..
