Not Big Bend, but at the top of a great hike there is a big bend in the river when you look over the edge!

We didn't read up too much about this hike before doing it. Signs and literature said strenuous, steep, for experienced hikers etc, we said a strenuous 5 mile round trip hike, cool!. I read after that this hike is considered one of the most dangerous in the US National Parks. A hiker fell to his death just this past Monday there, RIP. The trail was busy at the top, especially the last 500 feet, bottle necked on the narrow ridge, you actually need to hold onto a fixed chain when someone passes, hug the wall as they hug you to get around! I marked people on the ridge trail in a pic for ya! .

Great shots! Your black & white photo makes me think of Ansel Adams, and he loved Yosemite, so I'll make that my guess.

Fran, not Manila. SXMFOX, although debatable, I'm going with Wiki here and say yes for this city.

Carol, call in your picture person - Kim - and name this because I think you know the answer based on your past posts.

Thought I recognized it, but then I cheated and confirmed my guess by looking at the aerial view on Google maps. So I'll hold back.

I'll jump in if I must. Certainly would have recognized this last photo, even without my prior cheating.

Biras Creek.
We never stayed there, but passed through many times walking from the Bitter End to the Fat Virgin. Sure would be nice to do that again some time.

I'm not sure what the plans are for that resort? We also never stayed there, but they were always very nice to us when we stopped at the office. They let us enjoy the property many times. I'm missing the islands.

Someone else's photo of a stack of cellos made me think of this one. I'm looking for the city and the function of the building.

The roof looks like France, but the clocks say Greenwich?

Good guess based on the clocks, but not Greenwich.
By the way, I liked the T-shirts I once saw for sale at the Greenwich observatory -- "Center of Space and Time".

This museum is in the same city. The building housing the museum originally served the same purpose as the building with the clocks.
