Don't know the clock at all. I think the French on the sign might be a misdirection and that it might be Germany instead.

Sorry for the delay
Here is the next one for the group.
After this one I am going to take a respite until 2021 - it has been fun!

Known for music, this town has 22 Catholic Churches in its old town.

My first thought was the Montreux Jazz Festival (I can't believe that they "boo'd" Stevie Ray Vaughn off stage the first time he performed there). I'm going to stick with that for lack of a definite location, but the mountainous background makes me think of the Alps and Switzerland. I just don't think Montreux is big enough for that many churches

That narrows down the options. With that many churches it has to be a bigger town. While the picture doesn't ring a bell, I am going to guess Salzburg in Austria due to the history, scenery and size. I haven't been back to Salzburg in many years but it could be a match...

My art appreciation class was too many years ago, but does your hint mean neither Italy or France? What about some place behind the former Iron Curtain?

Yes, this is fine example of the delicacies and intricacies of the renowned Russian Brutalist style. But which city in which country?

Looks like it's being preserved now with the fence. I have a couple of places in mind, but first guess is former GDR and Leipzig (I don't even know if this city is in GDR)

The fence is to preserve the "artwork" (and to keep it from getting vandalized) but it remains standing in the middle of this rather large city. It is not in Leipzig, nor is the city in what used to be the DDR (or GDR, same thing)

Although better than Germany, this isn't in the Czech Republic, either. Here's the oldest building in town:

Thanks for correction and pass. OK, here is one I finally dug up, and I don't think the country will be a mystery - hopefully the place is for awhile.

Italy, pretty obvious, but not Tuscany. Think of one of those things off the mainland,

Fred... Your 7:50 pm EST post is being shown as '8 hours ago' at 09:00 on my PC which is set at GMT which is 5 hours ahead. So that looks correct to me.

Fred, I gave up on the time thing. I'm seeing the same issue but what I don't get is that sometimes one post will be correct while another before or after it will be incorrect. Also, the time has on occasion changed from correct to incorrect and vice versa. Oh well, if someone Googles too early I don't care, it's no skin off my back, only a game. By the way, with the statue/monument to Garibaldi I'm thinking somewhere in Sicily.
