Could be Moorish Spanish architecture. Granada or Seville.

Nope this bridge was finished in the late 1700s long after the Moors were finally driven from Spain in 1492. However you are in the correct Autonomous Community of Spain.

Hemingway wrote about the bridge in his book - "For Whom the Bells Toll". He describes five hundred fascist Nationalist sympathizers early in the Spanish Civil War by being thrown from the bridge. This was not a place you wanted to be during the Spanish Civil War! Not a very good picture but it is definitely not a bridge I want to be thrown from!

Fred, Richie148 throughout to cities in Andalucia and this small city is also in Andalucia. Madrid is six hours north of this beautiful place.

Or perhaps my HS English teacher might have edited as...
“From which a bridge I would not like to be thrown!”?

Had a friend who lived near to Ronda a few years back and took a day trip there. That bridge is seriously impressive. Can someone else post a photo please???? I'm right out now as I don't have access to my backup device. As the UK has gone into another lockdown I've decided to stay in warm and sunny Spain a while longer rather than sit at home looking at rain and grey skies.

No Richie, it's in the url of the photo. Try another, but rename the photo so the answer doesn't show up.

Right Adrian, which probably means that he didn't take the picture himself. Richie--all pictures posted in this forum have to be taken by YOU or a family member, personally. Otherwise, they are potentially a violation of copyright.. Regardless Adrian, you're up!

Looks wet, big tidal range, no cats, no courtesy flags visible. Perhaps Portsmouth, U.K.?

Awesome - that picture really narrows it down! A port in the U.K. with a "Bar" and a "Restaurant" - there must only be a handful...

Zanshin, I was thinking the same thing, Like maybe Tenby or Mumbles?

I have spent a few drunken days in that very pub, so it does help a lot, did you see the pink seagull Fred?

Sleepychef, sounds like you could name the place now? Maybe you're giving others a chance so I'll post this more recognizable photo. I must have missed or have forgotten the pink seagull. Not Wales or what Fran said.

I've heard of the pink seagull thing. Could this be Barnstaple? Wish I could find my photos from Clovelly or St Ives.
