I just received a notification that our JB 11/06 flight has been cancelled. According to the reservationist, there are now NO JFK to SXM flights on 11/06. All things subject to change, of course.

Respectfully,

pat

Pat--sorry to hear that. Are there flights on other dates close to your date?

Originally there were two Friday 11/06 flights - we booked the 7am departure - but as of right now there are no Friday flights on the schedule. They moved us to the Saturday flight which actually means we lose a day of our trip. Not the end of the world but also not what we had planned on.

Respectfully,

pat

There was a notice that JB would be flying non stop out of Newark, New Jersey. November I think. Maybe you can check schedule from there. Good luck.

Thanks, Gary. I didn’t consider Newark but may now look into it. Hmmmm, just checked - Newark isn’t showing anything either.

And yes, Carol, we still hope to make the November 2020 trip. Think I’m going to give it a day or two for them to get their stuff together before I give up completely on the Friday flights. I so hate traveling on Saturdays.

There are no JB flights to SXM on 11/6 from JFK, EWR, or FLL.

The only realistic option for JFK-SXM on that date is likely AA, connecting through MIA.

As of now, there is a non-stop UA out of EWR on that date.

We will definitely be looking for you at T5. I’m still hoping they may put at least one of the Friday n/s back in which event we’d switch back to Friday but whatever! I’m surprised you’re flying from JFK but thinking it was the best shot for a n/s? Will you be in Newtown?

Yes, Newtown. AA was three flights, 20+ hours. Would much rather deal with direct, no plane changes and hopefully less passengers. JB had no flights during the week when I booked a couple of days ago. And since it's Saturday I have someone who can pick us up. Perhaps we can meet up somewhere outdoors in the crisp fall weather before the flight back!

Our Saturday flight back is the second one of the day.

That would be lovely and IF we can do it before the 29th we can probably enlist Mrs. Burns to join us, too. She always knows the best places to go.....😊😊

Haha of course. I’ll probably be with a cane and lumping around acting like the oldest of the bunch!!!! But can always find An outdoor place to eat!! We gave up on JetBlue for now. Except for Saturday’s. Delta direct after New Years and AA via miami going down next month. Just scheduled our covid tests for October. A spa in Newtown that has an APRN does the PCR covid!!! Works for us!

Just checked our JB flight for Friday, 11/13, it is moved to Saturday,11/14 and our return flight is moved from Friday,11/27 to Thursday,11/26. No notice from JB on the changes. Not happy about this, I might just cancel.

Don’t be too hasty, San, as there aren’t many options right now if you’re stuck on that timeframe,

Kim - send me info on your testing source please. Was going to go to the Urgent Care place.

And for sure, lets try to meet up. It will be less somber than the last time.

We switched our JB flights from JFK to Newark for Nov 21st. Direct flight and much cheaper than departing from JFK. JB honored the price difference and put in our travel bank. And flight leaves earlier so we can get our beach time in!

They should just refund the difference. Other airlines are.

You're probably right but I figured I could use the credit for my June trip. I have a TS at Divi and plan to go in June also ( positive thinking!)

JB has cut the amount of flights from FLL also. They were going every day....now it's only 3 a week.

Pat, I just canceled. Too many changes, which did not give me a good feeling. We are booked for our March trip (United), so looking forward to that, thanks, mike.

If you're up our way visiting, join us! We can always find a park and bring our own sandwiches.

Hi, Georgia,

As things stand right now we will be leaving SXM on11/20 so once again, our ship lanes don’t cross. We want to be in CT for Thanksgiving with the family - all 30 or 40 of them that can make it.

Respectfully,

pat
