No guesses on the body of water? Almost the most famous body of water on Alaskan cruises..

Ah, that explains it!

Looking online now I can see from the location that I have indeed been there. Also Gwen's on the other coast. I remember Gwen's as I left pretty soon after arriving due to the miserable staff and poor service. That was probably 12-15 years ago so worth another visit for the location if nothing else.

Mike,

The times we have been there it has really never been crowded enough to worry about service or really did not care because we were going to be there for a while.

Sundays are great afternoons to be at the Dune Preserve - Bankie has Sunday School.
Local Players take the stage and Bankie normally joins them for a few songs.
I cannot take too much sun anymore so Janet hangs on the beach and I do the shade in the Dune Preserve.

I am not real fond of the monkey that hangs around, but it is has been awhile since I was there - maybe he is gone.

If you can, a great day to be on Anguilla is their Independence Day, which is May 30th.
I would definitely plan my next trip to be on AXA that day.
Just fun and a great sail race. Here are some shots from the day Anguilla eXcellent Adventure - Race Day

That certainly looks like a great day. Have to try to make it there one May.

Lake Norman is a tad flatter. Sunrise on the lake about a year ago.

I'll jump in quickly, as I might not get another chance. What city was this picture taken in. Rather than clues to this picture, I have several more pictures taken around this city which will certainly suffice for a positive identification.

I'm going to guess London. This is based on the single Native American (is that the correct term, I can't keep up) Pocahontas perhaps, surrounded by old British type architecture in the foreground and then modern cranes building stuff in the background. If I'm wrong then I haven't a clue!

Mike - No, this is not in Londinium of anywhere along the Thames. But the city is within the boundaries of what was once the Great Roman Empire

I'm in my home-office today and am bored, so I'm adding another picture from the same town, this one taken relatively close to where the first one was taken. For some reason the forum software won't allow me to add a picture to the previous post, hence this new one.

The mural is an interesting perspective of time. At least a thousand years.
Second photo looks Italian.

Definitely Spain as Ellen says because of the red and yellow signs in one shop and the Spanish language in the second photo. So I'm going to guess this is something to do with Christopher Columbus. Beyond that I'm stuck as I can't remember which ports he sailed from or to.

Though Christopher Columbus says Portugal to me, so I'm going out on a limb, even with the Spanish language, and saying Lisbon.

(Glad I blacked-out certain portions of the pictures) smile

Here's one more picture from the city. The picture after that will will probably give it away...

Sleepychef - you've got it. I was going to post this picture, which might have given it away smile

I was in Nantes to visit the Jeanneau factory, just outside of town in Les Herbiers, to see my boat while it was being constructed. See Zanshin Factory Tour
for details

WAIT A SECOND - You changed your post from "Nantes" to "France" - that's not right!
