I can't help you with getting there, a friend drove me from cypress cove their for 4th of July. My wife and I liked it a lot. It's a Very pretty beach. There were about 300 hundred people there by my estimate so parking and walking from the lot a mile or so away was required. The crowd was much younger than I expected. As50/60 year olds we were a very small minority. No problems with rangers or gawkers. Also no beach concessions, you bring what you need. I would like to go back one day.

We have been to Playalinda at the National Seashore earlier this year. From I-95 use exit 220 to Titusville and head east on FL402. Follow signs to National Seashore. After going into the national park, follow the road that heads east and then turns north to parking lot #13. Its a long way back into the park. That is as far north as you can go via car. Park there (often gets filled up early) and walk to the beach and head north. The area north of lot 13 is clothing optional. We really liked the beach and no problem with rangers or gawkers. Enjoy!

Might be closed until the politicians get their act together.

Unfortunately, the beaches at Canaveral Seashore (both Playalinda and Apollo) are currently closed (at least as of 10/2/13) due to the gov't shutdown.
