Just read a post on Facebook that they drove by and Lee's was open. Anybody else on island that can confirm that? Nothing posted on Lee's Facebook page.

It may or may not be true but I would take it with a grain of salt as I believe the sign has been there for a few days.

No freaking out on my end or going elsewhere Lesley. The biggest deterrent for me is reasonable air fare to SXM. $721pp to get there and back for the upcoming trip and it is up to $1800. Not sure how they can sell tickets at that price. We are glad to be returning.

BTW, I have you by a couple of years.

It really pays to get your tickets 10-11 months ahead.

That is when I initially purchased tickets but AA screwed with the schedule and I then bought at a low price 6 months out.

We bought our May round trips for next year last June and just purchased our July round trips last week. All on AA. Got pretty good prices for first class with only 1 connection each way with no overnight stays. All in the $800 range per person each way except for using miles coming back in May for 50,000 each.

If you're doing a non-stop, that they should not cancel, like out of Miami, absolutely no reason not to book way ahead of time if you get a great price, like we did for our trip next year. If you have connections, it can sometimes be chancy especially with AA..

Yes I realize that but any airline can be chancy. We have one connection on the way down from SEA through Philadelphia and the other 3 flights going to SXM and returning to SEA all go through CLT. Would have preferred to go through CLT instead of Philly but the price was to good to pass up. Hoping that one will be rescheduled to CLT. We'll see what happens. Plenty of time between now and then.

That's the 6 mil dollar question. Maybe TTOL members need to get a pool going. LOL

Love their ribs and they have the best Cole slaw and potato salad on the island. Used to enjoy the snapper filet but now they use a different fish for the filet which is still good.

Everything at Lee's is usually very good to eat. They have fantastic ribs....Snapper....decent reasonable price steaks...and all will NOT break the bank. I wish them the BEST of luck...and am so thrilled to know that they are back. Last March vacation was extremely missing Lee's.

We drove by today and saw them serving several customers, however our plans changed and we went elsewhere. But I can confirm they are open and look like a brand new penny! If I get a chance I’ll take some pictures for all to see

I with there would have been a statement addressing parking options on that page.

When it is not something positive, you likely do not address it or draw attention to it. Valet parking has been mentioned, including by Lee, but you still have to have someplace to put the cars.

This is good news to hear that Lee's is open! I will make sure to stop by in December when we are visiting the island.

Lee's recently opened with many of the old staff.
Smaller restaurant but comfortable.
Menu looks the same. Very simple menu.
Service was professional with plenty of smiles.
Small lobster tank with some pretty good monsters.
The aromas from the smoker with ribs and chicken filled the restaurant.
Parking will be up the hill behind the restaurant but work still needs to be completed.
Word is that they are waiting for a location to open up to provide access to fishing boat.
Looks like a new option for the timeshare walkers.
Service charge only by cash, no line on credit cards.

How much parking will be available up the hill?

Didn't look as we arrived for just early cocktails and an appetizer. There are four spaces just up a little from the road.
They are still working on completing the parking situation up the hill and not advertising the parking there.
Sounded like they may be working along side the parking for the housing units at the top of the hill.
Yes valet parking is also being discussed.

Thanks. Valet parking would solve a lot of parking issues.
