Any recommendations for good Chinese Food on the Dutch side?

Also does anyone know if the BBQ stand is open across from the electric company building by the Salt Pone in Phillipsburg or any others?

Thanks

Place you are referring to across from GEBE is called Fat Tony's and yes it is open and sharing a much better smoky odour than what is directly behind it. Best Chinese food on island in my mind is Carolina's. Mind you it is not in everyone's comfort zone to go there.

Surick,

When we were last there in mid November, Fat Tony’s was still located on the corner in Jordan Village at Cupecoy. Have they relocated! They’re a favorite of ours and I would hate to have to drive all the way into town for a really good pizza......

I’m hoping that is the case, Scubaman. We truly enjoy the convenience of avoiding the traffic and running up to the Cupecoy area for a pizza, and when last we had it, we found theirs to be very good.

The one on Pondfill is something like fat Tommy's or Jimmys I think. Fat Tony's is still in Jordan Village.

My opinion on Chinese food-#1 Winnies in Maho and #2 White Swan. Authentic, clean and fast service.

Just about everything in that area is quite good, EXCEPT Fat Tony's! hangover Oh, and BB's.

All reasonably priced because their biggest market is students!

Different strokes for different folks! I've only eaten there a couple of times, only for stuff like pizza, etc., but enjoyed Fat Tony's a lot.

We went for their smoked meats a couple of times and that's supposedly one of their specialties. BIG smoker out front. Dry, flavorless.

Hmmmm, we often go to Fat Tony’s, if only for pizza, and always find it to be very good. The only problem we’ve ever had was the tables and the little bar area were all taken up with enthusiastic diners, and unable to get a table to eat there, we had to take our pizza to go.

Pat, forgive me I did error in the name. I thought that did not sound correct when I wrote it. You are correct with respect to Fat Tony's. I think the name the poster was referring to was Fat John's across from GEBE.

WINNIES which is next door to Moulin Fou in Maho has excellent Chinese food. The menu is extensive and prices reasonable.

White Swan is good with a nice atmosphere. Carolinas is part of a brothel on the Dutch side and I’ve heard the food is quite good.

To close the BBQ loop about Fat Tony's. Just drove by the one across from GEBE. It's Fat Boy Jimmys!

The last time we had the good Orange Beef was when Bamboo Garden Restaurant was open in Mullet Bay Resort up Hillside.

Yes Dear we knew both Father and Son. And those days my food was free in all of the restaurants seeing that I was part of Management.
