We have a big anniversary coming up next June. Want a private villa. HAS to have a private pool, a/c in main living area and bedrooms and view of sunset. One bedroom only needed. Top price around $3000 a week... French or Dutch side, but sunset view is an absolute must. Does NOT have to have ocean access at all, but has to be ocean view. NOT interested in a high rise at all. Suggestions?

Carol:

Have you considered Villa Paloma?? It is one of the Green Cay Villas, owned by Delphine Richard, on of the owners of Le Piment. https://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p864556a

Casa Bocca in Beacon hill. It may not be a private pool. We are here now and the other units aren't rented out so it's been private for us.

Look online at REMAXislandpropertie.com they list a lot of big private villas in your price range. There office is in oyster Pond, very nice folks, we’ve been dealing with them since 2005 without any problems. You can view the villa and also see it on the map

Me and the wife were just talking about your request Carol. We stayed in a villa called Summer Winds on Dawn Beach up on the mountain (very easy drive) several years ago. The master bedroom had a sunset and ocean view just because how the villa was situated on the mountain. Now we’re not sure if it sustained any damage from Irma or if any else has built around it. We rented from REMAX in Dawn beach. I think this will fulfill all your needs. Go online and look it up. Now my wife said, been there done that and found BSV thanks to you and not going back! This advice is from years of renting just about every villa in and around Dawn Beach for many many years. Just our thoughts.

mbrott--I'm actually familiar with that villa, having visited there before. IF we were the only ones there, it would definitely suit. However, if anyone else was staying there, it would not work.

We had it all to ourself so it was great. Ended up with the main house for just two of us. Nice to have security down the street.

Carol, our villa, Villa Islandtude, is a TTOL sponsor and has the sunset and ocean view, oversize pool and spa, AC throughout, high speed internet, and meets your price point for up to 3 bedrooms, all with king size beds and ensuite bathrooms. We just returned and posted new photos that included the villa in Jeff Berger's EverythingSXM Facebook site.

Hi. We only need one bedroom and know that your villa is huge, so figured it would be way out of our price range. Will take a look. Thanks!

Well, I don't know whether it is our 'dream place' or not, but we did book a villa above Happy Bay. It's not the lap of luxury but it does meet all the criteria in my original note. We will find out how it is next June..
