From the SXM Island cam you can clearly see Saba today. (Maybe later they'll move the Philipsburg camera that way too.)
Are the clear skies due to possible storms?

Storms are far away from us at this time. Saba is clear because there is little to no Sahara Dust.

You mentioned this before Elaine. Is it possible that the storms that are now forming (way to the east) are cutting off the flow of saharan sand?

Well we'll be there in a week and see it all for ourselves. We can't wait.

SD usually inhibits the storms. Seems there is a break in the layer.

I can take the pics, but I have not been able to get them on posts. Just the picture forum.

Once they are in the picture forum, you can use the IMAGE tag, the same as always, to post in the regular forum. Depending on your browser, you right click on the picture in the picture forum, which will get you the url of the picture and use that for the image tag. (Just use the original picture in the picture forum, NOT the enlarged picture that you get when you click on the picture. ) If you have other questions, let me know.

I recently watched a video documentary about Saba that explained a lot about the uniqueness of the island and it's people and it's history. Fascinating!
