It's funny, the difference between Apple and Android phones is odd - it's really like left brain versus right brain or Democrat versus Republican in what makes sense intuitively. Some people love Apple products, some love Androids and Windows devices, but how they present themselves to the owner is very different and few like both. Personally, I hated my iPhone and love the Android Samsung phones, but like politics, there are just as many who'll swear by the opposite. (Since polarization is such a problem in our current society, I sure hope this post doesn't prompt an Apple versus Android debate!) I wish you luck with your transition! If that doesn't work, I wish you luck with your marriage counselor. smile

Just try what I wrote and feel free to message me if something's not clear. smile I urge you to try the things we discussed now while its fresh in your mind.

I, too, found your explanation very informative. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.

For our recent trip, we had both Apple and Android users. We set up the WIFI calling and tried it out in advance at home so that we were all ready to go when we arrived in SXM. No issues with either type phone.

No need for me to rent a cell phone like I used to.

Correct...no rental, no sim, no paid plan other than a standby daily use-if-you-need-to plan. Not rocket science either...two steps: airplane mode on, wifi on...done...

Thank you. Tried it on one IPhone and one Android and it worked on both. We'll try it next week in Mexico. It won't be St. Maarten but it was the best we could do. Next year...,
