So it's come down to this! Our last full day........sad to even contemplate as I sit here at 6am trying to decide what to do today.

And it's so easy to get distracted as there's a huge private yacht just off the beach here and a beautiful Royal Caribbean ship passing by, too. The Lady Sara, ( sorry my Sarah - no 'h' on this one) all four decks of her above the water line that I can see with the naked eye with all her toys in tact - at least one (maybe two? ) speed boats and two or three wave runners that I can easily see from shore and who knows whatever goodies it has on board - is lying at anchor probably awaiting the first bridge opening this morning.

And oh, goody - I can now go pack again. I so love packing! The art of trying to squeeze back into the suitcases all the unworn clothes and belongings I was so certain we both needed down here. Don't you just think after all these years and trips I'd figure it all out and get it right? And that said, we have come down for two weeks with carry-ons only! But not this time, for sure. Afterthought - packing done and one full suitcase of unworn clothes- hello...........

Noontime - and Johnny's hungry - that tradesman thing again! I think we're going to use up some of the left-overs in the fridge so the maid will have less to clean up.

And then the last few hours out by the pool chatting with some new arrivals and saying goodbyes to some lovely new acquaintances. Back to the room for the last piña colada - the one a day thing worked perfectly as we finished all the cocoa lopez and rum and there's only about an inch of pineapple juice left for breakfast.

Dinner tonight was Antoine's by the Sea on Front St., Philipsburg. This was our only trip in to town over the whole three weeks and if it wasn't for that grand mariner soufflé at Antoine's calling our names, chances are we wouldn't have made it in at all. I can't believe there was no incentive to shop this trip and no visits to Caribbean Gems which really was a first.

It's been a great time here on the island and now I'm gonna' say a little prayer the travel day doesn't ruin all that accumulated good will I'm feeling right now.

Respectfully,

pat

Safe travels Pat and John. I have enjoyed your adventures and hope you have a great summer. Was Antoine's as good as always since there is new ownership there now?

You are very welcome - I'm glad they've been enjoyed. Even better to be here in the first person, I know, but sometimes you have to settle for second best.

And Elizabeth, yes - the dinner at Antoine's was still lovely and our soufflé delish. If I didn't know about the change in ownership, I wouldn't have guessed it.

Dear Pat: I too have enjoyed your splendid writing, and even though I had no clue as to your places, they all sounded lovely and inviting. I could never get that carry on thing down, we stay for two weeks, and that is just something I have never mastered, my makeup bag takes up half the case! :-)
Hope your trip home is smooth and uneventful, thank you for all the smiles.
Ellen

Pat,

Safe travels. Thank you so much for sharing your daily travels with us and for the beautiful ways in which you described everything that was going on, from weather to location to activities and meals.

Thank you, for making this obnoxious "old guy" feel like he was a distant cousin that was sharing in the family vacation.

Bless both of you.

Be Happy! Simply because you deserve to be. ðŸ˜

Thank you for the reports Pat. They were thoroughly enjoyed. I guess I will have to go back to living my own life now instead of enjoying yours. Vacations with your children are just the BEST. Last February two out of three made it. Next year we will be on our own. I completely understand your feelings about BSV we stay at SBR in one of the units on the beach. Our friends don't understand why on many days we don't leave the resort. Nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Safe travels to you both.

Pat, have enjoyed your daily reports! We love being on Simpson Bay just down the beach from you! We take binoculars, and Dick enjoys identifying all the big ones anchored out there! Have an uneventful and swift trip home!

Pat, as always I enjoy your reports. I always feel like we are all there with you. I hope your flight is smooth and trouble free. The weather here in NY is not too great. Hopefully the wind and rain will be gone by the time you are back here.

I add my thanks to what everyone has said before. I love reading your reports as we enjoy so many of the same places. I'm so happy you had such a great relaxing (for the most part ) trip.
