Great report! Congrats on your wedding! If you return to SXM, consider a few days on Anguilla. If you liked SXM as you have stated, you will love Anguilla!! Beaches are unbelievable, food is fantastic and locals are very friendly. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

Really enjoyed reading your trip report. It was not too long at all. We travel to French St martin each year and look for new restaurants each year so your report will also pass on some helpful information. Super Job!

Thanks for taking time to post a wonderful report. Never too long when talking about SXM. Many of us survive between visits with detailed reports like yours.
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

This trip report gave me life!! Congrats on your wedding and a fabulous honeymoon. I usually love watching the sunset at Calmos, but I'll have to try Love hotel next. And your comment about redneck Bacchanalia had me DYING.
Thanks for a great report!!

Wonderful report. SO excited to hear you mention LOVE hotel as we are staying there for two nights before our cruise (Windsurf, so not quite the typical redneck experience lol, and yes I realize not all cruise passengers are like that). Thanks, as well for helping me make up our minds between Villa and Le Cottage, Villa sounds like it will suit us the best. I have the feeling we will be leaving for the cruise somewhat wistfully, though we will have lots of beautiful island experiences upcoming during the trip, on a ship that we know from experience is a pretty fantastic one. Sigh, if only one had the time and money necessary to spend more time before and after.

Sounds like an exciting trip! You will not regret La Villa, it is really a lovely experience. I am eager to hear your report on staying at Love, as we are now curious about those accommodations for our next trip.

Ok, will post a mini trip report. Or a longer one if anyone is interested in hearing about the islands we visit on the cruise.

Great, incredibly well-written trip report! And congratulations on your marriage. I am so glad we have another Grand Case fan in our midst. My husband and I have made 8 trips to the island and always stay in GC. (And we LOVE La Villa!)

Petsonally, I think this is one of the best trip reports I've ever read here. Informative like others, but what sets it apart by far is the amount of research and planning that preceded the trip. Obviously gained from scrutinizing previous reports of others, but inspirational to me to make me and I'm sure to others to be much better planners! Inspirational. Thank you!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I definitely put in the research and it made our first trip to the island seem a little more comfortable ( although still very exciting !)
