The Tuesday evening street fair in Grand Case. Does that start in January or February? We are seeing conflicting information on-line.

My understanding is that it starts Tuesday February 4th. It was supposed to start January 21st but they pushed it out 2 weeks due to a desire to beef up security given the recent issues.

And when does it typically end?

They said it would run for 8 Tuesdays, so that would put the last one on March 25. Link to news story on Les Mardis de Grand Case

It’s 8 Tuesday’s, but not including March 4, Carnival. It’s unclear to me if the final Tuesday will be March 25, or if March 4 isn’t included in the count, which would make the last Tuesday April 1.

Unfortunately, both dates are before we arrive on island. Oh well. Next time.

RickandJulie--it's always around the same time. If you want to be able to go, you need to come earlier.

Carol. Would love to. However, sometimes life gets in the way. We've been there earlier before and hope to be able to again in the future. Just not this year.

I knew the rough dates but was hoping to sneak in for the last week based on the shift. We'll just miss it.

I get ya. I would love to go back for Regatta, but Eric is doing taxes now, so that will be a no-go for a while yet.

We were at the Perch bar talking with the bartender and he said this coming Tuesday Grand Case will be having the street fair. We went to Grand Case this past Tuesday and it seemed like a trial run was going on. Police presence and the road was blocked off. Several shops open and was busy with numerous people out on the street. It felt very safe and monitored.

The festival’s WEBSITE states starting Feb 4th and their Facebook page says the same. We were hoping to go, but are leaving on the 31st.
