The past 4 days have been uneventful and going according to script. Our driver arrived at 2:00 am Tuesday for the 90+ mile trip to DFW for our 5 am departure. We landed around 1 pm, and other than waiting for luggage arrived at Grand Case Beach Club around 2:30, our home for the next month.

It is hot and muggy, I believe the dew point was 82 on Tuesday, and the water temperature is 86—perfect for me—so perfect in fact that on Wednesday I was in the water from 10 am – 3 pm, exiting only to make a bar run. I hadn’t done that in ages.

Our primary activities are eating, drinking, swimming, and kicking back. We don’t visit other beaches as we have 2 perfectly good beaches on site, with all the conveniences we need. So far, we’ve eaten lunch at Le Taitu, Tapas at Sunset Café (the kitchen will have a full menu and dinner hours next week), Bistrot Caraibbes, and cheese and crackers from our Bacchus Deli run. Breakfast is generally croissants with butter and jam. We also picked up supplies at Super-U, so we’re set for a while.
