So JohnW, the walk to all of the beach side stuff on OB, including Orange Fever was about a 15 minute walk ( we walk fast ). We did walk to Orient Village for dinner but we dine very early so we never felt unsafe on the walk back and there were plenty of people walking the beach in the early evening.
We did use the car quite often as we like to explore the island. One could totally be car-less at Mount Vernon as there is plenty to walk to along the beach and in Hope Estate.
