We enjoyed a little beach time at Maho before hitting the shops. The ocean was cooler than yesterday, but still refreshing and great for swimming.
For lunch at Driftwood Boat Bar, I had a delicious shawarma salad with lamb and chicken (not the prettiest dish, but packed with flavor), while David opted for a hot dog. We sipped on what we believe are the best rum punches on the island, truly living our best life. With no cruise ships in, Maho Beach was blissfully quiet, and we took a swim, hoping to catch some planes landing overhead, but only a few small ones flew in before we headed back to the villa.
For dinner, we met friends at The Greenhouse in Simpson Bay for their prime rib night. Thankfully, we ordered in advance, as Jacob, our excellent waiter, informed us they had already sold out by 7:30. Unfortunately, the Johnny cakes were gone too, David & I shared a king cut of prime rib with two sides, which was more than enough. The steak was cooked to perfection, and we all agreed it was probably the best prime rib we’ve had there. Here’s a picture of the gang!
