In the past have always picked up a mooring at BEYC or Saba. This year I have family to visit at Leverick and am thinking of stopping there for the night instead. Also thinking of visiting the Baths by car from Leverick rather than stopping in the AM on the boat as have done in the past -- seems to be the recommendation of the majority here.

Probably mentioned many times before, but could someone please give me contact info for the best car rental option for a single day at Leverick?

Also, I really enjoy renting a Laser or Hobie from BEYC and cruising around North Sound for a couple hrs. If I'm at Leverick, can I take the Gun Greek ferry over to BEYC and still use their club fleet?

Thanks

Sean

Contact Nick at Leverick. He can hook you up with a car.

Yes, contact Nick and enjoy your time at Leverick. We usually try to stay 2 nights to do dinner out first night and then drive around the next day - baths, copper mine point, hog heaven..etc and then the BBQ at Leverick (when we can make it a Thu/Fri night stay).

Really - I think more people should rent a car to go to the Baths. I saw too many people that shouldn't have swam in when we were there last trip. It is a longer swim then most think. One group, two people held the dinghy while a 3rd in the dinghy rowed them back...

Yes Nick/Leverick Bay will take care of you.

Normally they have cars in the parking lot at Leverick. I believe the front desk holds on to the keys. You then take the car and drive to the car rental company to fill out the paper work and you are on your way. Very simple in fact.

Just make sure when you head off for your island adventure, you take the National Parks permit or you will have to pay to enter The Baths!

No need to drive somewhere to do paperwork. Just email Nick to let him know when you need a car and it should be waiting for you. Check-in at the front desk at Leverick. Only have to refill gas used. Very nice.

Hey! We will be sailing the week of June 13 - 20 and plan to spend a night or two at Leverick/BEYC as we often do. Maybe it's a silly question, but are the laundry facilities at Leverick in working order? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Cheers.gif" alt="" />

No. You get a token from the office reception. $3 per token. Need one per washing machine and, probably, two for the dryers.

Thanks, Nick! Our crew of twelve on the Tennessee Waltz will be there around the 14th for dinner and a sleep over. We'll be in touch!
