Woke up this mornin' feelin' fine........

And why wouldn't I? Another 'pretty sky morning' with soft breezes blowing through our apartment and not a raindrop in sight. And no real indication of any having fallen overnight either......I'll take it!!

Coffee in and then spent another lazy day at the pool with a shared burger and fries for lunch - nice chatting with other owners - new ones and long timers like us.

I really don't have much of anything to share. Saba is still very prominent and the skies are overcast but not a raindrop today, and considering they said 80% chance of rain this morning, life is good in my book. We watched two Royal Caribbean ships pass by while we were having drinks on the balcony, and just around dusk we saw a Celebrity ship leave so this was a good day not to go to town

We had a light dinner at Barcode this evening with island friends - the Cannegieters and the Millers. Very good dinner for what it was, and great company and conversation. A few raindrops when we were leaving but nothing much to speak of and if it's got to rain, the timing couldn't have been better. So all in all, the day doesn't get much better than that. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

We love Bar Code! It is one of our favorite little bars now and the staff is friendly and food is always good. It is not a gourmet restaurant, but just a nice little spot to enjoy drinks and food with friends. We also enjoy stopping there on our last day on the way to the airport for a nice relaxing lunch since parking is right by the door.

Not sure where you're coming from but if you come through Maho and continue on the road through the golf course, go past the sign and driveway for the Towers and head up the hill towards Starz Casino. It's the right hand turn just below the driveway entrance to Starz and would be the road to the medical school. Follow it for about an eighth of a mile (that's a guess....) and when the road splits for the school, bear to the left and BARCODE is in a fairly newish building on the right. If you get to the new restaurant, Escape, where FIG used to be, you've gone too far.

It was a fun place - fun burgers and other offerings plus a couple of specials. We truly had a lovely evening there and I think our check with our entrees and several drinks was $50.00 for the two of us. The waitstaff was very attentive and pleasant and SHE offered to do seperate checks for us since we were three couples. We didn't even have to ask.

The setting is more or less open air but covered should it rain and if you're into sports, there are several tv screens and they're very accommodating.

I can't imagine anyone not liking it. Well, there would always be a few who might find something to criticize, but some locals who know suggested it after we had already tried to go earlier in the week with our kids, not knowing they were closed on Tuesday's.

Try it - I think you'll be pleased.......

We ate. At Bar Code twice on our last visit. Great setting and food. On the Wednesday night there was a woman playing a tenor sax who was awesome
