Hire me to hold my phone cam and walk around Leverick throughout the day. I can take direction via email, twitter or facebook requests. Where to apply?

I think that is an Axis 215 PTZ camera. Suposedly one of the top ip cameras made. You can't find a used one for under a grand. Might be best to find out what is wrong with it and get it fixed.
I have a foscam outdoor PTZ but it will not hold up in that location. The finish is coming off of mine in less than a year. Would not want to see it in salt air. Also the IR would be worthless from where it is mounted.

Glenn, the 215 is discontinued. I wonder if something in the P32xx line would work? I just looked up my cost on some of those and they were sub-$1K. I remember noting where the camera was last time we were there (May '15) but don't know the back-end setup.

After a little network probing I don't believe it is the camera. The webcam link is hard coded to port 8000 on Leverick's main router and a traceroute fails at C&W's main DNS. Looks like it could be as simple as Lime changing Leverick's IP address and not telling anyone.

It looks like your DHCP address expired from the service provider. DO you have a static route/ip address from Cable and Wireless/Lime? Can you reassign the IP address of the camera to a non-open port? or local "192.168.1.10.xxxx "local setting?
sorry to get geeky guys.
Also AXXI$ is what I deal with primarily for "airport/gov/stadium security" yes...this is part of my job.

If his Lime link is DHCP, will his router support DDNS?
For every acronym we geeks use, do we get a Painkiller?

OK, as a moderator I should trash this whole thread but the more brains we can get on this the better so I will add to the soup:
Nick says they can get to the camera locally but not outside so the camera is probably OK unless it is on the backup firmware. Leverick's router is supposed to be a static address and has been for several years but we are dealing with Lime which is Cable and Worthless in citrus clothing. The camera is the only static local address with an incoming port assignment so most users couldn't tell if anything was wrong. A quick look at the router's WAN IP and port assignments should tell the tale but can't do that from here.

Thanks, Glenn.
You know, us geeks get a break from this when on ilon time. Back in the real world, it helps to help de ilons.
Can his router be set to DDNS to "roll" with Lime's DHCP refreshes? You've answered the question about it working internally, so this is purely a floating public IP address issue.

I thought I had finally found the perfect excuse. Found a $386 RT STT on Spirit then discovered that my passport expires next Tuesday!
