Does anyone know how much it cost from airport to orient village. What's the euro vs dollar. thks

Rates are pretty much fixed and there is a dispatcher at the airport so you are pretty much assured of getting a licensed taxi and the proper rate.

The euro to USD will vary by merchant and is not always the going rate.

I would ask before making any exchange.

In the last few days, I paid $25 each way on a roundtrip from Orient to restaurant in Simpson bay and $35 one way from Orient to Airport with the same cabbie. I didn't quibble even though it was about the same distance. During the roundtrip, I know he went home to French Quarter for dinner and drove back to pick us up, while the run to the airport he was heading to catch the ships coming in after dropping us off around 7am. So, there you have a datapoint range to expect.

Taxi rates are fixed by law - ask for a rate sheet to be sure your rate is the correct rate.
