Has anyone been to the Divi recently? We paid an assessment fee with our yearly maintenance fees for the renovations to our building. We were told (by management) that everything would be completed by the time we arrive at the end of January. We own room 321, I believe its building D

This is news to me. We are going in mid March and the fees are nearly the same as last year. Maybe 10 years ago all, I thought, had an extra fee that was spread over 2 years with an extra week added to our contract. Those upgrades were worth the money in my opinion. Plus, it was the only extra fee we had since 1988. Our unit is in Building B6 which is across the road from yours. Maybe this is a new deal going building by building. Keep us updated after you get there in Jan. At least we are safe for 2016.

We stayed in Building B the last week of October and Building D was being renovated at that time. I remember seeing new roofing material and other renovations. I would think, based on what I saw from the outside, that it should be finished by the time you arrive. I have no knowledge of what was being done to the interiors. Two years ago we stayed in Building G in a suite and those rooms appeared to have been renovated and were very nice. This year, in Building B, the suite was nice we stayed in, but the Jacuzzi tub was not as large as the one we stayed in two years ago in Building G. Other than that, it was basically the same.

Afraid I can't help you. I was there in June and heard/saw nothing about renovations. I have not been billed for any assessments, but my building was renovated in 2008 or so (at which time I definitely did pay an assessment). There is a Facebook page (private group) for Divi owners. You could sign up and ask your question there. Divi on Facebook

They are redoing buildings A & B and are assessing the owners for those buildings only. Letter was sent out in May, mine is $400 per week assessment, Mike...

Thank you everyone. Our assessment was close to $2,000. I believe they were starting with building D, possibly the reason none of you others received the assessment. We could have broken the payments up over the next 2 years but choose to pay it in full and were given 2 extra weeks. I'll update at the end of January when we arrive. Thanks again!
