Even though we often go into Philbsburg to do some shopping, we usually head back to Orient for lunch at one of the beach bars.
With all of our regular beach bars closed right now, we will probably have lunch in Philipsburg.
Could you let us know what your favorite Philibsburg lunch spots are?
Preferably ones with menus that extend past hamburgers and wraps.
Many thanks
Ted & Jan

Without a doubt - mine would be Antoine's. They have a luncheon menu with salads and such but I believe you can order off their regular menu, or at least an abbreviated clone of it, and their food is very good. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Ocean Lounge at Holland House hotel, more than burgers & wraps.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Chez delphines a lovely French restaurant down near the flip flop store towards bobby's marina but not nearly as far. Great chicken with coconut sauce! Ate there today.

I agree Chesterfields is always a good place for lunch. Excellent for dinner too.

Other than ones already mentioned, there is the Greenhouse. They do have burgers, etc., but they have full meals also. Possibly more casual than you want.

Holland House!!!! Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere....if you just want a drink at the the bar, Tori is a GREAT bartender, with a wonderful sense of humor. The food is great and is the main reason, 2 people who HATE to shop, go to pburg.

Rick's Place coming down Cole Bay hill at the roundabout in front of le Grande Marche...they share a parking lot.
Every time we go to Phillipsburg so Linda can get her "DK Gems fix" I ask to go to Ricks for lunch so I can get my curry goat dish for lunch.
... Although she kids me about "one old goat eating another" I enjoy it! The ribs and burgers are out of this world as well! IMHO...
Then back to Club O...

Rick's Place?? Are you talking about Mark's Place ?? Ric's Place closed several years ago.
I had one of the best burgers I have ever had on the island there earlier this year.

Last January and for the past few years, we lunched at a place called Sheer. It's at the end of an alley not far from St. Martin Church. It's not the usual tourist trap…no view of the sea…but the offerings are fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Oh…and reasonably priced!
