Presumably will not still be a hurricane by the time it passes, but Danny is scheduled to pass very close to STT and Puerto Rico. You guys be careful out there!

I hope you're right about it losing strength Carol. Current path shows it heading directly towards St. Thomas.

We watched them put the Kon Tiki in the mangroves this morning, so people are taking it seriously. The hurricane forecasters are pretty accurate with the 3 day cone; keep watching! We are almost at the peak of the season and still in a drought. This is the first call to action....

It would be lovely if you got some real rain out of the storm--and nothing else!

Current forecast is for a tropical depression on the east coast early Tuesday morning. Sadly, with such a small storm, there probably won't be much rain. We're in Puerto del Rey, and we doubled all of our lines and took down all canvas. It looks like that wasn't necessary, but it was a good exercise. Not many people have taken additional precautions here.

Sadly, it seems people have become complacent. Hope everything is fine with you and yes, wishing for some good rains!

It is always easy in retrospect to say that the preparation wasn't necessary...You act on the information you have at the time. If it takes 48 or 72 hours for prep, you HAVE to do the prep. There are a few more disturbances to the force out in the Atlantic. Season isn't over...

Capt. Jay did our storm prep this weekend on STT. Erika is coming behind Danny and looks like a bigger sister.
