Agreed, contrary to popular opinion, not everyone in the world is on Facebook.

This thread is really long and there are some great pictures here. I'm contemplating moving this whole thread to the trip report forum and starting another new thread. Is there enough interest in that, or should we just let this one die out?

You know me... I can never let a photo thread end. Just love photos especially the old ones!

How about a walk down Cupecoy circa 1999 to kick things off.

I've heard that a picture is worth 7 words. Here are 2 photos of Cupecoy taken from a house we rented in 2006 that was on the hill above Cupecoy (and La Samanna) that is now torn down with all of the development there.

Really loved Cupecoy back in the old days.

This view looks fake, whenever I see it.

It truly was a special place. Sometimes change is good and sometimes it is not so good.

I think this is my favorite beach picture of all time (that I took). This is on an island a few miles away from SXM and was at my 50th birthday party.

LOL - I guess it would be helpful to state the location. It was what used to be my favorite beach in the world - St Jean's Beach on SBH before Hurricane Luis wiped it out. It really was my dream location back in the day and the location of the most relaxed days of my entire life.

Sandy Island Anguilla April 2008

The Boat washed up after a Hurricane Lenny in Nov 1999 and was there until Oct 2008 when Hurricane Omar came along and took it away.

Great picture! That must be an older picture, or much further down the beach from Rosie's, as they don't have those lovely colored umbrellas like that any more.

OK. Those umbrellas are so much more colorful than what they have now!! ...although the ones with the 'thatched roof' effect, or whatever you call it, are cute..
