We are considering a trade at the Ocean Club Villas. This would be a studio/mini kitchen. Would appreciate any feedback on current condition of villas. What is a "mini" kitchen? RCI reviews mention poor wifi and limited tv stations. We love the Cupecoy area and are trying to decide whether to try the OBV or wait and see if something becomes available at the Towers- which we really like. Thanks for any feedback.

The studios have improved quite a bit over the past two years. We own 15D which is downstairs. Anything with an R after it is upstairs and it is not the best for some. The mini kitchen has sink, microwave, toaster oven, counter top burners, refrigerator, cabinets, and most utensils you will need. Most of the studios are quite comfortable and the staff will provide you with whatever is needed. Again, it is best to have a downstairs studio. Call Cheryl or Noreen and see what they will arrange. Also, there are quite a few pictures and tips here. http://donlinda.net/StMartin/index.htm

All of the studio refrigerators that I have seen were a full 5-6 ft high with a good size freezer. They are not small.

Don and Linda--I could be wrong, for sure, but I thought there were studios in the waterview apartment building also?

That's where Don and Linda are talking about. I thought there were studios in the tall building also, but maybe not.

The Ocean Club Villas studios are around the pool. The Ocean Club Waterview units are in the tower.
Regretfully, I can not find pictures of the inside of our unit. The kitchen area long the wall has about an 8 ft granite counter which holds the sink, range burners, microwave and toaster. There are 3 large cabinets above with one small cabinet. There are two drawers and three large cabinets below. The stand alone refrigerator is probably about a 15cu ft. The kitchen area is quite adequate for us and has been the same size since we moved in around 2003.

Thank you all for your helpful responses as we explore RCI trade options for our Fall St. Martin vacation. We are looking forward to returning. This will be our 8th visit and luckily we will be staying for two weeks!
