.....THE HARDEST PART!!!!

It usually takes me a while to really start getting island brain, but that's basically all I think about now that we're only 3 weeks out! Matrix is handling the boat details so that was easy, thanks Matt! Of course I volunteered for cooler detail, that list of provisions is complete! Moorings provision list is a work in progress. Ladies have been bathing suit shopping for weeks now!

Itinerary? for months we said let's just wing it, but the "must do's" started creeping in so we do have a loose schedule building. First night rendezvous with the Mardi Gras Clan, ahhhhyeeee!! Followed by STJ for a couple days, looking forward to seeing a friend we haven't seen in 2 years. Back to the BVI and bounce around a bit until we drop off Matt's sister at the airport on Beef. Then off to the North Sound for a couple days including a TTOL gathering at Coco Maya! Can't wait to see familiar faces and meet some new TTOL'ers in person.

Well...back to daydreaming while streaming Tradewinds Radio!

Excruciating! That's what I call waiting this long. We still have 82 days! UGH
But very excited to come down for 2 weeks after having to cancel our trip last year for health reasons. And chartering with TMM one of their brand new Lagoon-450

Waiting is.... making me crazier than I already am smile ...128 days for us. it's our 2nd charter with our good friends and this time we're bringing a 3rd couple who are BVI virgins. When we told the husband of the 3rd couple he could start drinking beer as soon as he opened his eyes in the morning he said "sign us up "

I am in countdown mode as well. 4 days for us. The bags are packed and the list of last minute things is getting smaller. Stomp out a few fires at work and I'm good to go. We have a month long trip this time so I am looking forward to spending time in each anchorage. 2 weeks on the boat, then 12 days at Guavaberry. Beeman, Matrix will see you at CocoMaya

Beerman, love that picture!
We're 4 months out - taking 2 BVI virgin couples with us this time. The only savings grace to the waiting right now is that summer has arrived in Northern Michigan and we've been out on the lake daily. Just being on the water makes everything better

Have a great time. We're on the plane now back to LAX. Spent 10 great days on Celavie out of BVIYC. Really nice boat, and as reviewed by others, a really nice operation.

Conditions were really nice with little swell and wind waves. First 2 days was 18-22 knots, with the last 8 days ranging from 10-15.

We did a lot hitting, JVD, Guana, Scrub, Anegada, Eustacia/Prickly, Leverick, Marina Cay, The Dogs, Fallen Jerusalem, Norman, and Peter. Only issue with Jellies was Monkey Point (scattered) and Muskmelon (loaded with Jellies).

We will do a full report later. Flying home is not nearly as much fun as flying to the islands a couple weeks ago. Very SAD!!!

Have a wonderful trip.

Thanks for the jelly report Mark, sounds tolerable, hope you had a nice flight and looking forward to the report! I'm jealous Rita! Traded more emails with Maytrix today, provisioning is underway. We can't wait to wake up early that first morning somewhere in the sun!

You wait to book your boat until your 3 weeks out? What are the pros vs. cons in waiting?

It's only because I'm an owner. I own a Moorings 43.3, but we're sailing on a Moorings 4800. If I book it 16 days out I use what's called short notice time and can upgrade for a minimal cost. Been doing this since we became owners and have never had a problem getting an adequate boat (always a cat, and only once not the model we wanted) for the group.

For us, its the biggest benefit to owning..
