FYI-

A few of the flight options we have been watching are down considerably (15%) in the last few days (from Denver). Has anyone pulled the trigger yet? I may wait it out some more....

Used miles for ours -- we just need to buy one-way from Miami to STT on the 25th. Our original plan was to travel to Miami for a cruise on United so we have to buy that last leg. Getting all the back with American miles on the 2nd of November from STT.

Pulled the trigger, flying down on Delta and back on Southwest, all points. We are land based staying on Jost. We are looking forward to all of the festivities!

I've been watching, but the black hole known as St. Louis hasn't changed much.

I just checked and our fare down on AA has dropped $8. Our United flight back is up $87.

We bought as soon as United showed availability 300 days out. They ended up canceling our flight down, but it was mid-October and they usually don't run their direct flights that early. We got that flight refunded (we book one-way flights) and rebooked AA. We're in October 16 and out November 14.

We're looking forward to Cat fight. Not certain who we'll have on the boat with the busy season starting up. Debbie & Christine will be back on our boat. With any luck we'll get Capt. Jay over to Jost after work on that Friday. It would be great to get Kimber back

Cheers, RickG

So jealous of all you folks who can do this so cheaply. We are extremely lucky if we can get there under a grand each...not to mention I have no vacation time....2 weeks sailing in Greece/ Turkey in Sept agsin and I'm tapped out for 2015.... Can't wait til I'm done with this pain in butt called working full time. .....I'll be thinking of all of you in October....March 2016 til I see my BVI paradise and family again...

Based on what I am seeing the last few days I think we will probably fly DEN-SJU-EIS as the price is within $50 bucks of flying to STT. Then we will have a day or two to play around on Tortola prior to the CF week.

To do it again if everyone has a passport book... go straight to EIS... my wife, three children under 10 and I spent around $585 in ferry, taxis, port fees, departure fees etc to go via STT... at least we got to ride the Charger one of the times

Though The Bell Arose had the crowd screaming on the ride over in 18+ seas!

Going down Southwest/JetBlue through SJU and back Delta from STT to Houston Hobby...we a wandering down a good week early prior to getting on the boat...between a few points on the way down and a surprisingly low cost one way back the two of us are doing it for $550.00 total.

From Atlanta, it's still sitting right at $500 ... which isn't BAD, but sometimes I can snap up a $350 rt! Gonna keep an eye on it.

ski2play, we are also land based on Jost for the week of Cat Fight, staying at WBV. smile

Copied from a post from Glenna
Registration usually starts on Friday evening and at the skippers meeting Saturday morning. There are 2 races. First is out to a mark to be left to port, around Sandy Key to port and back to Great harbor. Second is around Sandy Key to starboard, Great Thatch to starboard then around the mark to port and back to Great Harbor. The mark is usually located somewhere off of little Harbor, Jost but occasionally as far as Apple Bay, Tortola

We're in one of the White Bay Cottages...looking forward to lazy days on Jost before the crazy weekend! See you for quiet "end of day" painkillers at SDB....the only time of day to be there.....

We are heading back from Sonoma via SFO end of Sept for our stay to include the Catfight aboard " Galeaux" this time ( thanks for the invite!!). Tix are $780 each for us via MIA to STT..that's a little higher than I've seen recently but not too bad..includes all taxes..

We arrive Sunday the 25th into EIS @ noonish. Due to our plans post cat fight it was more convenient to do American DEN/MIA/SJU/EIS then back through Dallas. And we have always had good luck on American to the islands. Not cheap, but the schedule fit w ours and we are codeshared w Seaborne.

51 days for us, arriving October 16 on AA. We'll be in Great Harbor Friday before Cat Fight with our one-legged cat. We got our favorite United direct flight home on November 14.

Cheers, RickG

We arrive on the 22nd, staying at CRC for a few nights, and then sleeping aboard Galeaux on the 25th before we head out. We'll be in Great Harbour on Friday, probably after stopping at the B-Line.

Scott and I arrive on Oct. 27th. We will try and get over to JVD to check out the Cat Fight. I doubt our "Wildcat 2" will be ready for a race but definitely ready to party.

Oooh, what day is B-Line day? We're picking up crew on St. Thomas before cat fight, but we could get moving early Friday for Diamond Cay.

We'll probably be there around 1pm on Friday. Just depends on what time we get moving from Leverick.

Tradewinds, excellent. That could work for us with Debbie being a morning girl; we plan on picking her up early at the marina on St. Thomas on our way back from the SVI. With check in at Great Harbor, we'll shoot for early afternoon Friday at B-Line. With any luck, Capt. Jay can hit the last ferry Friday and sail with us on Saturday.

Cheers, RickG
