I can say the exact same thing about BVI Yacht Charters - they are celebrating 20 years this month! Just finished another flawless charter with them! Certainly says a lot for the smaller companies!

The boat was "Fruits". Not a new boat, but everything, and I mean everything, worked perfectly A testimony to good maintenance

Fruits de la Mer is a 2008 Salina 48. So at 7 years old, I think your post is a testament to how well TMM maintains their fleet. This is one of the primary reason I became an Owner. Thanks! - Mark (S/V Orion)

Been a TMM fan for a while now myself. Glad to hear you had a great time! "Fruits" looks like a great boat, looks like she has a TON of room. Looking forward to our first cat experience this December on Mardi Gras!

Looking at the photos of the boat, and this is just going by appearance, she looks a bit under-canvassed. How did she sail for you?

We chartered Mardi Gras in May and she's a great Cat. Handled very well during a very windy week and most comfortable for 4. We also spent some time on the TMM docks and I went through all the boats that were docked (all ages and sizes) and was quite impressed with how well maintained some of the older vessels appeared to be.

Great to hear all this positive chatter about TMM. Just booked our first charter with them for October. Lagoon 450 "Cool Change"
They have been great so far and we are really looking forward to it.

<img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> LOL, you got it Tony! We are certainly looking forward to it! In fact, I have a photo of your lady on my desktop at work so that I can go "there" mentally whenever I need to say a serenity prayer. That's not weird is it?

They do try very hard as a group and manage to deliver a huge majority of the time. We had a boat there for 9 years which averaged 30 plus weeks of charter. They kept her in terrific shape and in spite of a myriad of systems to keep operating in a 24 hour turn around (along with some charterers not being honest about anything not working or missing) had exceedingly few problems. We let some friends use her in the last year we owned her whom we had started on their own BVI addiction with a "free trip" with a captain from TMM, in between they had passed all ASA courses and chartered from TMM about a dozen times...they were amazed that our boat was just as comfortable and dependable as it was in the first year of its life. That is very hard to accomplish, impossible without a great organization concentrating on their product more than advertising to insure their success.

you might want to rephrase this (LOL)

"I have a photo of your lady on my desktop at work so that I can go "there"

Hah! Nope, meant what I said! I mean, just look at this classy lady, who could resist fantasizing about her? She's dreamy.

And, oh man, don't be shy, check out that galley/salon! Oh yeah, is it getting hot in here!?

Chris ... You will love S/V Mardi Gras and it doesn't get any better than working with Tony ... As my wife says "He's a gem". I chartered MG last Christmas before I purchased S/V Orion. I see you're in Annapolis ... I have a place on the other side of the Bay in St Michaels ... If you're ever this way. In fact, we're hoping we can host Tony and Phyliis (his real lady) during the Annapolis Boat Show this October ... Maybe we can all meet up. Thanks - Mark

Chris, Mark, Rick, Murph

I really appreciate all of the kind words. I too have similar screensaver. I really hope we can meet up in Annapolis this fall, I'm planning to bring a bottle or 3 of Sebastian's Rum, to share and help get in the island state of mind.

I agree, TMM rocks!

Cheers,

Tony
