Just got an email from Go Classy about this 'new' resort. I was vaguely aware of Mak Nuk before. Not sure what happened with this?

For various reasons, the original developers of the resort are no longer involved with it, and management has been assumed by a group of the condo owners. The name change coincided with that transition. The facility is the same and being operated in a similar manner. The rental units are condominiums that are in a guest rental pool. We've stayed there twice under the Mak Nuk name and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if the opportunity arose. The condos are first class and the pool and grounds are gorgeous. The services available (dining, etc.) may vary, but we've always elected to either cook in the condo kitchen or avail ourselves of the amazing dining options in Tulum.

OK, I'm confused, is Intima Resort the same as Mak Nuk Village?

Yes, same resort. Mak Nuk was renamed Intima last summer.

I would assume that the owners hired some sort of management, to see to the daily needs? What does "may Vary" mean, regarding the restaurant?

There has been an onsite general manager for about 6 months. He is very involved and is making Intima even better than before. The restaurant and bar now have posted hours. This place is spectacular and will be a major player in the CO market.
