Hi everyone,

I had a fabulous trip to the northern circuit of Tanzania earlier this year, visiting Lake Manyara, Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti and Zanzibar.

Here is my photo album from this safari:

Enjoy and I would love to see photos that anyone else has to share from their own safaris.

Wow, Rocco, those are some tremendous shots! Such great animal interaction in some of them! I enjoyed seeing the shots in sequence of the one lion kill, although I enjoyed seeing the pictures of the chase much more than the result! You could certainly tell that some of those lions had recently eaten, including the one little cub, with that HUGE belly!

Is there a trip report also???

Absolutely Amazing Photos Rocco. What kind of camera do you use? It must have been a sensational trip!

WOW!! Some amazing pictures. We just finalized our plans after months of research--We too are going to concentrate on the Northern circuit of Tanzania. Plan is for August 13 thru the 25. Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park are my over night stops----We simply can not wait!!!
What type of camera did you use? Any tips?

Camera tips -- now that can be an entire thread all by itself!

First would be are you talking digital or film. Then slr or point and shoot. And then we can go from there. We probably went overboard on our protection and stuff for our digital, but it was worth it.

The hard part was trying to go thru over 3,000 photos to put up on the web and that does not count what we tried to make actual photos with. And then narrowing it down from there for the big blowups! But was it worth the trouble - yes, without question.

You have time, so you have tons of options yet. We bought a new digital camera almost 6-9 months ahead of time to test and play with and figure out before the trip. That was a huge help.

Enjoyed the pictures. I would like to know what kind of camera, how close to the animals were you, did you use a guide, company - how did you plan this. In 3 years it will be my 20th wedding aniversery and my husband and myself are really thinking about a safari. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and again enjoyed the pictures.

Regarding planning the trip, please check out Fish Eagle Safaris. Just click on TTOL sponsors and scroll down to them. They planned our trip in 2005 and it was wonderful!!

Love the pictures. My husband and I want to do a safari.
3 years from now is our 20th anniversary and this would make a special trip. What camera did you use and how close were you to the animals, especially the lions. What company did you go with. Again great pictures. Any info would be great.
