Lunch at Panlaan today. Still excellent food and lovely outdoor seating. After lunch we drove to take our first look at Blue Mall. What a waste of time, don't know why we bothered!

You didn't make any purchases today at Blue Mall? No cheese, wine or anything you just couldn't resist. Have the winds died down on the beach?

Hi Elizabeth, no the winds are still here, perhaps until regatta....lol... and no, nothing to buy in Blue Mall and certainly no cheese or wine to tempt us, we go to Bacchus for that.

Yup, if the winds have been blowing a gale prior to Regatta, I'm sure they will be totally nonexistent by next weekend!!

Bacchus had opened a store in the Blue Mall a few months ago. Has it closed already?

Didn't see it, unless it was under a different name. Which floor was it on? There is one in the departure lounge at the airport.

We also noticed that there were only 2 kiosks open in the "food court" plus a frozen yogurt stand. The only people we saw using these seemed to be employees of the Mall. There were a couple of other full service restaurants but we did not observe anyone there. The Mall does not open until noon and we arrived at 1.30 p.m. and found several of the stores had not opened yet, so we could not look at their merchandise even if we had wanted to. Must say though that the views from the ceiling to floor windows were very impressive.

Bacchus at Blue Mall was already closed when we were there in November. It was on the first floor; they actually had an outdoor seating area.

Our first and last trip was in January. What a pretty ghost town. We counted six other people there and no one had a shopping bag. Don't see how they are staying open.
