Just watched the Steven Jobs boat Venus come out of the lagoon and anchor in Simpson Bay. The Limitless came out yesterday evening and made the long treacherous passage to St Barts where it is sitting this A.M.The beautiful boat Atessa lV sailed a couple of days ago. Ah to have a few extra 100-250 million to spend on a raft!!!

Ha! Didn't know Limitless ever left the lagoon. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> It seems to always be there! We really enjoyed seeing all the yachts at Christmas!

Last year on one of our trips we watched the Vertigo and the Yalla - pass out of the lagoon through the drawbridge. Both were impressive but boy oh boy - the Yalla was in a big hurry. We thought it was going to take out the boats in front of it and the bridge. Great to watch over mimosas and breakfast.

Respectfully,

pat

I would not call the sail to St Barts long and treacherous, especially on a mega yacht with stabilizers. My 40' boats sails just fine in a good weather window.

Um, perchance the original post was sarcasm? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

Every year we enjoy sitting outside the condo with binoculars looking at the mega yachts in Simpson Bay, and checking the AIS website for more info! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> Of course, sitting at the Yacht Club and seeing them up close and personal is a thrill in it's own! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

Stayed this year at the Royal Palm. Birds eye veiw of the yachts coming and going each day. Took more pictures this year of them then in the past 18 years all together. Room 8304, what a great location for watching. Also for the first time I rented a boat at the Boathouse from Ray and Bonnie. I rode all over the Lagoon and really got some great pics of all the Yachts for the two weeks I was there. Also took the boat over to Marigot and ate at La Belle Époque. For $100.00 for a half a day it was cool. I would definitely do the boat rental thing again. Would take some fishing poles next time.
