We went there yesterday. Around a dozen mooring balls died a few months ago. We met the guy who came out to collect his money.

He was the proud owner and advised that they were professionally installed by commercial dive services.

I am guessing the original post was meant to read a dozen added. These new typing programs that try to drop in words on your behalf can at times screw up the message.

I think its the lack of proof reading that screws up the message <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

I think you are right though - must be new?

This is probably the least desirable anchorage in the whole of the BVI. I personally would never sit there overnight.........

Safe and enjoyable boating.

Auto correct killed the dozen new moorings. In any case it was nice to walk to coco maya from vgyh. On the walk back we visited the vampire bakery. Last night was fine outside spanish town. Swell was not an issue.

We saw new Moor Secure moorings at Spanishtown/St. Thomas Bay in January. There were private moorings about as well. Not a lot of swing room. We anchored in sand in 16' when we went in to hit the Digicel store. The water was clear enough to see a good anchor set from the dinghy.

Cheers, RickG
