Any recommendations for busiest/most fun afternoon and evening to visit The Willy T? Is Zeus still serving libations there?

Taking two couples whom have never been and we haven't been in a couple of years. Thx!!

Zeus is actually back. The bar area is hit or miss, aside from locals night on Sundays. Just depends on who's in the Bight that night.

Zeus has been back for some time. Daytime only I believe.

I've always found Sundays to be busy at Willy T's. Many charterers arrive in the islands on Saturday and leave the dock Sunday AM and Norman Island is a popular first stop (when you are on a boat you haven't sailed before, NI is an easy reach).

Willy T's is often filled with locals on Sunday afternoon and the visiting sailors take over in the evening.

I recall one Friday night it was also quite wild as it was our last anchorage before heading back to Roadtown on Saturday.

The Bight has plenty of mooring balls available as well so arriving late is not usually a problem either.

I've never been there on other nights.

Good news! Got my first t-shirt from Zeus back in 2005 <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Our group has been on Sunday and Saturday nights, and the Sunday crowd seemed larger (and a bit rowdier) than the Saturday night crowd.

We've been hitting up NI/Willy T on the last night of our charter (Saturday) for the past few years, as it's a calm anchorage and close to Road Town for boat return. However, as mentioned above, the Sunday crowd seemed way more rowdy...perhaps because it is a good 'first day/night' anchorage - also mentioned above...

The bartenders seem to sense what's going on with the crowd (probably by how many drinks are being poured) and will shut the party down when appropriate...the last two years has been earlier than I would have liked, but you can always continue the party on your own boat - or smarter, go to bed.

My wife is always proud of her tattoo. However she learned on the last trip that she is too short for the shot board. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

Zeus is working day shifts on weekdays only, no weekends. He opens the bar at noon and stays as long as the day crowd is hopping. When it slows, or around 4 - 4:30 he hops on Wet Willy and disappears back to his regular life.

Anyone have a picture of Zeus? Not sure who you are talking about.

Love sailing the BVI's with friends.

There may be a valid historical behavioral reason for that very schedule....??

Safe and enjoyable boating.

I don't blame him. Zeus has been working the Willy T for as long as I can remember. You gotta be a young man to pull a 3 or 4 day shift on the Willy T.

Thanks all for your input. We are headed out on a Sunday, so will likely make it first stop .. although disappointed we won't see Zeus now that he is back. However, I'm sure there are new bartenders with lots of enthusiasm.

Slug, I would be grateful for a Willy T trip report should you find the time prior to June 2015.

I would be happy to report back after the March trip - and I'm sure a lively 5 couple visit to the Willy on a Sunday afternoon. Don't be afraid to remind me, as two weeks in the bvi will likely leave some brain cells dead>
