We have a group of about 15 going to Sunset Bar & Grill to see the planes land. I was wondering if you can get the landing schedule a day or two ahead of time so we can decide when we want to go. I know how to get it the same day but was hoping to get it ahead of time.

Have seen the Air France A340 Land, its impressive, but missed the KLM 747, i can only imagine how much more impressive that is, sadly they don't come on the same day.

M KLM is quite impressive. It's my one must see every year but I tend to be a plane geek.

There is so much cool video on Youtube of SXM landings. I can't wait to show my late-teen boys in a couple of weeks.
Are Saturdays good?

Saturdays and Sundays are some of the best days, in terms of sheer number of landings, because some airlines only run to SXM on the weekends. As far as the KLM 747, not sure what days they come.

My first go around playing with video editing. This is from May 2013. This year's footage will be better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEnInohcrQM

GD1147,
Do you mind a bit of constructive criticism from a pro filmmaker? Your edits are fine, important to practice techniques on holding the camera more steadily - especially as you pan to follow the plane. One thing you might try - if you had a shopping bag, you could put a bit of sand in it and hang it from your wrist. The extra mass resists jiggling. Newton says so.
That A340 is a big girl.

Thanks Ritchard. Some things to consider for the future my consumption of beers and trying to not have my sunglasses and hat blown away each time.

That same shopping bag could hold your sunglasses and hat!
Can't help you with the beer part though. I have a similar issue when on vacay.
