We just booked AA frequent flyer seats for June for main cabin for 16K each, roundtrip from Miami to SXM! I don't think we've ever used only that many miles! If anyone is looking for a trip soon, you might want to take a look!

Carol.....for some reason American often has better miles offerings within a month or two of the actual flight. If you book early, it often pays to continue periodically checking for better offers. For example, we had booked our May trip months ago with the leg down being 13,500 miles per person. Just rebooked the same flight for 10,000 miles. Glad you have a trip to look forward to.

Yes, we try to keep checking our flights also, in case it goes down. We just never have gotten that lucky before with such a small amount of miles. We normally book way in advance as I can't wait until that close. smile

True for economy flights but the FC miles flights don't change. I keep checking but has never changed for me.

Actually FC wasn't much higher than economy when we factored in the check bag charges ( 2 free pp up to 70 lbs each) and the free meals instead of paying in airport using the lounge during connections and food and drinks in flight over a 14 hour flight. That's the only time we do FC. My best friend told me long ago if I didn't fly C my kids will. groovin

Scuba--your trip is much different than ours, as we only have the one flight and we're there. Much easier being in those 'cheap seats' than a 14 hour journey! smile
